Arsenal are starting to exert some pressure here and a second goal from them and the last 5 minutes could be very interesting.

Scramble in the Chelsea area and somehow Chelsea survive. Toure beats Drogba on the left hand side of the six yard box. He pulls it back for Silvestre who fires from 3 yards, but Cech makes himself big and saves well.

Lovely little chipped pass forward by Drogba finds Lampard clean through on the edge of the area, but he's adjudged to be offside. It looks very tight.

Fabregas does well to find space to cross on the left but Cech is out well and claims the cross.

Chance for Arsenal. Cross from the right by Nasri finds Van Persie. He does well to get his header on target but he's running away from goal to head and it's an easy save in the end for Cech.

The game has just become a little scrappy in the last couple of minutes and this will suit the visitors who were just coming under a little presure following the Arsenal goal.

Penalty claim for Arsenal and there is a sense again that they might yet be able to turn this game around. Fabregas plays a ball into Adebayor on the left hand side of the area but he's just eased over, Cech collects and the referee waves play on.

Good chance for Arsenal and it's almost Bendtner again. Nasri plays it to Sagna and again his cross picks out Bendtner, but the header this time is saved by Cech to his left.

There's a real air of dejection around the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal look to be beaten by one of theiir close rivals for the second time inside a week.

Great ball in from the right by Walcott. Fabregas meets it on the volley at the far post but Essien just does enough to put him off and his volley goes over.

Decent chance for Van Persie to try to reduce the defecit. He goes through on goal, turns inside Terry and strikes left fotted but Cech is down smartly to save low to his right.

Anelka gets in behind Gibbs on the right hand side, but he crosses early and it's well over-hit and nowhere near Drogba in the centre.

Early cross from the right by Walcott. It finds Nasri , but he can't control and the ball goes through harmlessly to Cech.

Despite their two-goal advantage, Guus Hiddink will no doubt want his team to retain possession more in the second half and to tighten up at the back, where Arsenal have caused them a number of problems in the first 45 minutes.

Arsenal have done very little wrong in the this first half and have had more than their share of chances to be in front in this game, but after such a fine home record they've conceded five goals in one and a half games.

What a chance for Chelsea to finish the game off. Good possession from Chelsea. They get the ball forward with Malouda. He finds Anelka to his left in acres of space on the edge of the area but he shoots straight at Fabianski from 10 yards.

It will be interesting to see what Arsene Wenger has to say to his troops at half time. They have dominated large sections of this game, created chances and done very little wrong. They find themselves, however, two goals behind and work to do.

Another opportunity for Arsenal and again it's Walcott coming onto a ball at the far post on the edge of the area. The pass comes at him with pass and he should probably take a touch, but he shoots first time and the ball goes well wide.

No one closed him down and his low 25yd effort swerves away from Fabianski and into the bottom left hand corner to double Chelsea's advantage.

You can start to hear the first signs of frustration from the home support as Arsenal for all their chances and possession find themselves 1-0 down.

Malouda could have doubled Chelsea's lead. He gets in behind the Arsenal defence on the left. He cuts into the box and has a great chance to shoot, but he tries rolling the ball across goal and it's cleared away for a corner.

Fabregas takes right footed, the ball is deflected high in the air and Chelsea don't deal with it. Diaby tussles for the ball and it drops to Song but he fires wide from 6 yards on the turn.

Diaby drives at Alex down the left. He gets himself into the area before crossing left footed. Walcott bursts onto it at the far post but his strike is wide from 12 yards. Arsenal really should be in front.

Another decent attack from Arsenal. Diaby plays the ball inside to Nasri from the left. He crosses low across the box, but no one can get on the end of it and the ball drifts out to the right.

Almost a chance for Fabregas. Van Persie turns well 25 yards out and plays it to Fabregas. He touches it around his man and is almost on the end of it to slot home from the edge of the area, but Cech is out well to smother the ball at his feet.

Great chance for Arsenal and they should have taken the lead. Neat turn from Nasri 30 yards out gives him space to play in Walcott on the right. He crosses low to the centre, but Diaby snatches it off of Fabregas' foot and shoots wide from 10 yards.

Chelsea look to have settled into this game in the last minute or so and Lampard registers their visit effort on goal. Anelka dribbles inside from the right. He plays it across to Lampard who shoots from 20 yards but the ball goes safely over.

Another effort from Walcott, but this time it's well over. The ball is played into the box and Van Persie heads back to the young England international but he doesn't get the ball out of his feet and toe pokes well over from 15 yards.

Wonderful reverse pass inside the right hand side of the area by Nasri releases Walcott. He shoots, but the angle is tight and Cech saves.

Ball played forward towards Walcott on the right. Cole, under pressure from the Arsenal man has to concede a corner.

Good run forward from Toure and Alex has to foul him to give Arsenal a free-kick on half-way.

Good cross low from the left by Gibbs looking for Fabregas at the near post, but Alex intercepts well and it brings Arsenal the first corner of the game.

It's been a bright start from the home side and they look to have settled quicker in possession.
