Match Preview

No problems for Powell Charlton have no new injury concerns for the visit of Leicester. Boss Chris Powell could add Scott Wagstaff to his squad after the winger missed the 1-1 draw against Birmingham on Saturday through illness. But Powell is likely to stick with the same starting line-up which was only denied an opening-day victory by an injury-time equaliser from Nikola Zigic. Veteran midfielder Andy Hughes is still out as he recovers from Achilles surgery while young goalkeeper Nick Pope and defender Yado Mambo are on the sidelines with knee injuries. Powell on Monday allowed striker Paul Hayes, who was on the bench for the Capital One Cup penalty shoot-out defeat by Leyton Orient last week, to join Brentford. Leicester will travel to London for their first away league fixture with an unchanged squad. City boss Nigel Pearson has named the same starting line-up for both the Capital One Cup win at Torquay and the home victory over Peterborough on Saturday. Should he wish to make changes at The Valley on Tuesday he has the likes of midfielders Neil Danns, Anthony Knockaert and Andy King, who came off the bench to score Leicester's second goal in the 2-0 win over Posh, and strikers Martyn Waghorn, Jeff Schlupp and David Nugent available. Defenders Zak Whitbread and Sean St Ledger (knee) and midfielder Richie Wellens (knee) have resumed light training but are not yet near consideration. Whitbread is just short of fitness following his summer arrival from Norwich on a free transfer.
