Bassone back for Addicks Federico Bassone should return to the Charlton line-up for the visit of Peterborough. The on-loan Leeds defender missed last weekend's 1-0 win over Yeovil with a hamstring injury but hopes to be fit. Bassone will replace Matt Fry, who has gone back to West Ham at the end of his loan spell, at left-back. Boss Chris Powell wants to bring Fry back until the end of the season but he will not rejoin before Saturday. If Bassone is not passed fit, winger Johnnie Jackson will drop into the back four. Midfielder Alan McCormack is a doubt with a hamstring problem so Therry Racon is on standby to return to the starting line-up. Defenders Kelly Youga (knee) and Chris Solly (ankle) remain sidelined although the latter is back in full training. Peterborough captain Grant McCann should be passed fit. Midfielder McCann played the first half of Northern Ireland`s 3-0 Carling Nations Cup defeat to Scotland on Wednesday night and is expected to return to London Road fully fit. Fellow midfielder Lee Frecklington is available after an ankle injury and could be included in the matchday squad. Central defender Gabriel Zakuani dislocated a shoulder against Brentford last month but has made an astonishing recovery and could make a surprise return. Striker Dave Hibbert also remains on the sidelines. Hibbert dislocated his knee back in November and is still not fit enough to return but David Ball will continue. Ball made his debut after signing from Manchester City in the 4-4 draw with Southampton last week and will again be involved.

Addicks march on under Powell Charlton maintained their promotion bid with a 3-2 home success over play-off rivals Peterborough. Lee Tomlin's stinging drive hit the post, but the visitors deservedly went in front in the 29th minute when Tomlin got past Simon Francis and ran into the area before unleashing a curling shot beyond the reach of Addicks goalkeeper Rob Elliot. Play was halted for several minutes after the goal when referee David Webb accidentally clashed with a Posh player and was forced off through injury on a stretcher. Craig Mackail-Smith headed wide when unmarked early in the second half and paid the price for his miss as Charlton came from behind to go in front. The equaliser arrived on the 57th minute when Johnnie Jackson headed home Francis's cross. Charlton took the lead two minutes later as Nathan Eccleston set up strike partner Bradley Wright-Phillips for his third goal in as many games. Pawel Abbott's 80th-minute volley was deflected past Posh goalkeeper Joe Lewis for the Addicks' third and although Mackail-Smith pulled one back in stoppage time, Charlton maintained their 100% record under boss Chris Powell.
