Cruise could start for Carlisle Carlisle's on-loan Arsenal defender Thomas Cruise has been given permission to play in the home FA Cup tie against Tipton. The Gunners teenager arrived on a one-month deal earlier this week and will go straight into Greg Abbott's squad for the first-round tie. Ben Marshall (Stoke) and Manchester United duo Corey Evans and James Chester have also been cleared to play but on-loan Leeds pair Lubo Michalik and Mike Grella are unavailable. Chester has recovered from a knee problem but Old Trafford team-mate Oliver Norwood (thigh) is still sidelined. Skipper Paul Thirlwell (knee) and Danny Livesey (groin and hamstring) are still building up their match fitness in their bid to return from long-term injury but Abbott has no other new injury or suspension problems. Tipton Town travel with a fully-fit squad. Manager John Hill rested almost his entire first-team for Wednesday`s Walsall Senior Cup clash against Ellesmere Rangers and will take a fresh squad to Brunton Park. Just 68 supporters turned up to watch the midweek clash, made up mostly of reserve and youth players, but Tipton are expecting hundreds to make the trip north on Saturday. The club are second in the Midland Football Alliance and travel to the League One Cumbrians full of confidence as they look to bridge the six-level gap and cause a memorable upset. Town have lost just once in 23 league and cup matches this season, disposing of Sheffield FC 2-0 in a replay in the final qualifying FA Cup round to reach the first round proper.

Tipton dream ends Tipton may have made history with their first FA Cup first round appearance in 62 years but that was where the dream ended as they were thumped 6-0 at Carlisle. The hosts raced into a four-goal lead inside 24 minutes and added another before half-time. Gary Madine grabbed a first-half hat-trick and Ivory Coast forward Francois Zoko scored the other goal, with Madine netting a fourth in the closing minutes of the second half. Madine's header freed Zoko to race clear and lob the ball past keeper Matt Sargeant in the fourth minute. The floodgates then opened with Madine adding the second in the ninth minute, netting from a yard out from Ben Marshall's cutback from the by-line. Madine was on target three minutes later pumping home a header from James Berrett's right-wing corner. Number four was scored by Zoko again following a Berrett corner. The Carlisle striker picked his spot from 15 yards to drive a shot past Sargeant. Tipton managed to hold out until the 44th minute when Madine fired home after the defence failed to clear yet another dangerous Berrett corner. Madine netted his fourth of the match from Craig Curran's cross in the 83rd minute when the substitute's cross from the left gave him a clear opening to beat the keeper from 10-yards.
