United to chose from unchanged squad
Carlisle manager Greg Abbott will choose from an unchanged squad for the home clash with Huddersfield.
Abbott, whose side have lost their last three league games to the weather, last played on December 11 when they went down 2-0 at home to Dagenham.
Striker Mike Grella, on loan from Leeds, is pushing for a recall after starting on the substitutes' bench in that game while winger Matty Robson and central defender Peter Murphy, who has recovered from a recent back problem, are also challenging for starts.
Tom Cruise, on loan from Arsenal, is expected to continue at left-back in the absence of Sean McDaid, who is ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, but fellow defenders Tony Kane (knee) and Danny Livesey (groin) remain sidelined.
Huddersfield defenders Jamie McCombe and Liam Ridehalgh are both doubtful.
McCombe missed the 4-1 defeat at Southampton due to illness and Ridehalgh, a first-half substitute on Tuesday, is struggling with the same virus.
Manager Lee Clark has no new injury or suspension problems but could be tempted to make changes following successive defeats.
Midfielder Joey Gudjonsson and on-loan teenage Arsenal striker Benik Afobe are both pushing for recalls to the starting line-up after stepping off the substitutes' bench at Southampton.
But Clark will definitely be without long-term absentees Gary Naysmith (toe) and on-loan Plymouth midfielder Damien Johnson, ruled out for the rest of the season with knee ligament damage.
The Terriers have slipped to fourth in the table after defeats to Hartlepool and Southampton in their last two matches, but remain only one point behind second-placed Sheffield Wednesday.
Terriers squander win
Huddersfield's festive frailties were exposed as they allowed Carlisle to pull back a two-goal deficit and grab a deserved share of the spoils at Brunton Park in a 2-2 draw.
Terriers, beaten in their previous two games, looked to have got this one safely buttoned up when Scott Arfield added to Peter Clarke's first of the season in the 63rd minute.
However, substitute Francois Zoko and defender James Chester headed Carlisle level in the first of four meetings between these two sides in the next six weeks.
Huddersfield went ahead midway through the opening half when Lee Novak drove the ball low into the box, finding Clarke in space six yards out and the Huddersfield skipper turned to poke his shot past keeper Adam Collin.
Huddersfield doubled their lead when Arfield, who had only been on the field a couple of minutes, swept a shot past Collin from 10 yards after Novak had touched the ball to him.
Carlisle were given a way back in the game in the 71st minute when Zoko headed home from close range after Gary Madine had flicked on Frank Simek's right-wing cross.
Twice Smithies kept Huddersfield's lead intact with fine saves from James Berrett and Madine before Chester rose highest to meet a Berrett corner and thump home the equaliser.
