Cooper in Arter out Carlisle will welcome back Liam Cooper for the home match with Bournemouth but Harry Arter is unavailable. Centre-back Cooper returns after completing the one-match ban he received for his sending off against Peterborough last weekend by sitting out the midweek draw with Plymouth. However, the on-loan Hull man may have to settle for a place on the bench after replacement Lubomir Michalik, returning from a hamstring injury, earned praise from boss Greg Abbott for his performance against the Pilgrims. Midfielder Arter, who has scored once in three appearances since his month-long loan move from the Cherries, misses out as he is ineligible to face his parent club. Sunderland loanee Liam Noble serves the final game of the three-match suspension he was handed following his dismissal in the Hartlepool match on March 8. Skipper Paul Thirlwell made his first start since overcoming a calf problem against Argyle and after impressing should retain his place. Bournemouth boss Lee Bradbury will be without Rhoys Wiggins. The first-choice left-back suffered a gluteal injury after only 33 minutes of last weekend's 3-1 defeat against Southampton and has not recovered in time. Fellow left-back Warren Cummings could replace Wiggins in the starting line-up but will have to pass a late fitness test on an ankle injury, so Stephen Purches is on standby. Michael Symes is 50/50 with an abductor strain, while fellow striker Steve Lovell is also a doubt despite playing 45 minutes for the reserves in midweek. Back-up goalkeeper Jon Stewart will not be involved due to a club ban imposed for disciplinary reasons, so Dan Thomas will be among the substitutes after being recalled from a loan spell at nearby Dorchester. Meanwhile, defender Ryan Garry has taken up a scouting role within the club as he continues to recover from a long-term problem.

Murphy continues Cherries slide Promotion hopefuls Bournemouth crashed to a third straight defeat as a Peter Murphy goal gave Carlisle victory. Carlisle had most of the game but the Cherries missed a great chance to grab a share of the spoils late on in an ill-tempered game when striker Danny Ings failed to hit the target with just the goalkeeper to beat. Bournemouth looked lively early on against the slow starting Cumbrians and Marc Pugh stung the palms of Adam Collin with a rasping 25-yarder after a solo run. Once Carlisle found their rhythm them looked the better side and it was central defender Murphy who put them in front in the 26th minute - forcing the ball home from five yards after the Cherries' defence had failed to clear James Berrett's corner from the right. Murphy was Carlisle's most dangerous attacker and could easily have had a first half hat-trick heading over from another corner then in the 44th minute beating advancing keeper Shwan Jalal to a floated Berrett free-kick only to see his effort bounce inches wide. Ben Marshall missed a clear chance to extend Carlisle's lead on the hour mark after a blunder by Jalal who spilled a high ball from Berrett. His shot lacked power and Shaun Cooper got back on the line to boot clear. Collin had to save well at the near post from an Ings blast and it was Ings again in the 81st minute who found himself clear with just the keeper to beat only to drag his shot weakly across the face of the goal and wide.
