Match Preview

Bellamy blow for Bluebirds Malky Mackay will not have Craig Bellamy at his disposal when Cardiff host Wolves. Bellamy missed the Bluebirds' Severnside derby defeat to Bristol City with a calf problem, and is not expected to return for a further two weeks. Another absentee from the 4-2 loss was centre-half Ben Turner, who missed the game at Ashton Gate after picking up a foot injury. Turner is expected to be fit for the weekend's clash, and provides Mackay with defensive options, should he decide to make changes. New signing Craig Noone is also hoping to be involved after the the winger completed his move from Brighton. South Korean midfielder Kim Bo-Kyung will definitely be available after obtaining his work permit following his #2million move from Japanese club Cerezo Osaka. Wolves manager Stale Solbakken will revert back to his strongest XI for the trip. Solbakken made a total of nine changes for Thursday's 3-1 Capital One Cup victory at Northampton, with goalkeeper Carl Ikeme and midfielder David Davis the only survivors from last weekend's draw against Derby. But the likes of Stephen Ward, Roger Johnson, Christophe Berra, Ronald Zubar, Dave Edwards, Slawomir Peszko, Tongo Doumbia, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Kevin Doyle are all in contention to return. Yet that does not mean Solbakken will stick to the same line-up who drew 1-1 with the Rams, with a handful of players impressing having been given their chance at Sixfields. Midfielder Bakary Sako stepped off the bench to find the net with a stunning finish just days after his arrival from St Etienne, while Georg Margreitter and Razak Boukari made promising debuts. Skipper Karl Henry (hamstring) will also be assessed having missed out against Derby.
