Match Preview
No new worries for Bluebirds Cardiff have no fresh injury worries ahead of the visit of Hull as they look to maintain their sensational home form. The Bluebirds 5-4 defeat at Charlton in midweek was their fifth away defeat of the season but at the Cardiff City Stadium Malky Mackay's men have not dropped a point and have only conceded four goals in their seven home games so far. They host Steve Bruce's Hull side that arrive in south Wales level on points with the Bluebirds and Mackay has spoken of his side's need to cut out the individual mistakes that handed Charlton a memorable victory on Tuesday night. The attacking duo of Craig Bellamy (knee) and Tommy Smith (hamstring) are still a few weeks away from a return while Jordon Mutch continues to struggle with a nerve problem in his foot. Nicky Maynard will miss the rest of the season with his torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. Hull's new loan signing David Meyler is expected to go straight into the squad for the clash. The Sunderland midfielder, who has made two appearances for the Republic of Ireland, has joined the Tigers until January, but may have to settle for a place on the substitutes' bench. Steve Bruce's side have won five of their last six league games and the manager will be loathe to tinker with a winning line-up, but a third game in a week could force him to rest several players. Defender Liam Rosenior and winger Ahmed Elmohamady both played with slight strains in the midweek win over Wolves and Alex Bruce was forced out of the action late in the game due to an ongoing knee problem. Striker Matty Fryatt (Achilles) and defender Joe Dudgeon (knee) are out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery, while Jack Hobbs and Tom Cairney (both knee) are still sidelined.
