CAMEROON 1-2 HOLLAND: The Dutch continue their winning record, beating a spirited Cameroon side without really getting out of third gear
An excellent run from Elia down the left, who beat Geremi for pace, came to nothing when his pull-back found nobody in the box
More good work from Robben almost got Holland a penalty after his ball into Huntelaar forced M'Bia into bundling over the forward but nothing is given
Good defending from Assou-Ekotto prevents Robben from getting through on goal again
That goal could demoralise Cameroon but it's certainly sparked a response from Chedjou who has a go at Van Bommel for diving
CAMEROON 1-2 HOLLAND: HUNTELAAR gets the goal but it was all down to Robben. He'd controlled a long ball and cut back infield before curling a shot onto the inside of the post and the rebound fell kindly to the AC Milan forward
The cross was put in at pace by Sneijder and was deflected behind by Song but it could have gone anywhere
A silly free-kick is given away by M'Bia for handball just outside his box on the Dutch left wing, and he's booked for it
Netherlands finally get the ball wide, to Elia on the left, but his cross is poor and Sneijder's chip from the rebound was never going to dip in time to find the net
M'Bia had a go at hitting one and took it well, firing it towards goal with tremendous power but failing to get through the mass of bodies on the edge of the box
Makoun wins a free-kick 25 yards out, in a similar position to that which got them the penalty ten minutes ago
Holland look a little bit shell-shocked by the way Cameroon are coming forward. With two new wingers now they'll want to get it down and give them a chance to run
Cameroon also make a change, giving Rigobert Song his farewell appearance, coming on for N'Koulou
Arjen Robben is making his first appearance of the tournament, replacing Van der Vaart
Choupo-Moting will be replaced by another big forward, Mohammadou Idrissou
A corner from Geremi is met by M'Bia at the front past but he had to stoop to direct the ball goalwards and couldn't keep it down
Van Bronckhorst is booked for a foul on the right wing, another card that Netherlands could rue come the future rounds
Van der Vaart scuffed the shot but it snuck under the wall and forced Hamidou into a simple save
Another free-kick in shooting range, this time for Holland. 25 yards out, right of centre
Great chance for Nigel de Jong, who got his outstretched foot onto the end of a long Van der Vaart free-kick but, eight yards out, couldn't direct the ball towards goal
Eljero Elia comes on for Kuyt, adding some more speed down the right wing
CAMEROON 1-1 HOLLAND: ETO'O indeed takes it, putting it above Stekelenburg who guesses right and dived to his right but never had a chance
Van der Vaart is booked for that handball
Handball by Van der Vaart as Geremi tried to curl the free-kick over the wall. Eto'o will surely take this
Aboubakar involved again as Makoun wins a free-kick on the edge of the box. Shooting distance this one
Aboubakar works some magic on the edge of the box, beating two players before playing a reverse pass behind the defence for Makoun, who shot accross goal but couldn't beat Stekelenburg
Netherlands got the ball partially clear from the set piece but Geremi collected it outside the area and tried to curl an effort into the bottom corner, missing the goal by a couple of yards
Eto'o finally shows glimses of what he can do, shimmying his way past three Dutch defenders before being crowded out and having a shot deflected for a corner
Van Persie is replaced by Klaas-Jan Huntelaar in a like-for-like switch
A long ball forward from Boulahrouz, who is finally making some forays forward, is too hard for Van Persie and goes through to Hamidou
Bong is coming off for Vincent Aboubakar, a more attacking player
Kuyt involved again down the right, allowing Boulahrouz to cross from the byline but he couldn't pick out Van Persie
Sneijder takes charge of a free-kick, 35 yards out, but hits it straight at Hamidou
Van der Vaart picked out Kuyt on the right and the Liverpool winger put over a dangerous cross to Van Persie but the Arsenal man couldn't tuirn in the area with the ball without losing it
Eto'o almost picked out Choupo-Moting with a low cross from the left but Joris Mathijsen did well to slide in front of the striker and intercept the pass
An excellent, 40-yard pass from Van Bommel found Van Persie 30 yards out, the striker turned and ran towards goal before firing a shot which was too close to Hamidou
Eto'o does well to win a free-kick from Van Bommel in the middle of the pitch but Cameroon can't organise a good more forward. They need to use these set-pieces well as Holland look weak defending them
Cameroon are having the best of the early exchanges this half, without really threatening the Dutch goal yet
Netherlands get the match re-started and they will be wanting at least one more goal here to put the match beyond doubt
CAMEROON 0-1 HOLLAND: Van Persie has given Holland the lead they wanted but it's been a tight first half and Cameroon did enough to prove that they aren't going out of this World Cup quietly
Bong does well down the left and wins a throw off Kuyt, which is taken quickly and finds Choupo-Moting who almost threads a ball through for Eto'o but it's a touch too heavy
Another set-piece from the right swung in by Geremi but Mark van Bommel wins the header and, after a slightly manic scramble, a weak shot comes in from a tight angle that Stekelenburg collects
An excellent cross from Geremi on the right is a little too high for Heitinga but Eto'o hadn't expected the ball to reach him so his touch was poor and Stekelenburg could collect
M'Bia does well to control a dangerous cross from Van Bronckhorst on his chest and get the ball clear after the left-back had combined well with Van Persie down the left
Cameroon can't follow Van Persie's lead, with Bong hitting a volley inside the Dutch area straight at a defender
CAMEROON 0-1 HOLLAND: Clinical finishing from VAN PERSIE, who played a nice one-two with Van der Vaart, receiving the ball behind the defence and, under little pressure, firing under Hamidou into the far corner
Sneijder manages to get himself on the ball in a dangerous position, to the left of the penalty area, but his first attempt at a cross is block and a second, clipped effort finds Kuyt but he can't do anything with it
The African side are looking the more comfortable on the ball right now, keeping it with ease, but can't find an end product
Kuyt gets his first chance inside the area, spinning off Benoit Assou-Ekotto but firing wide of Hamidou's left-hand post
Makoun had a rare foray upfield and made his presence known, winning a header from Stekelenburg but not with enough accuracy
Cameroon are playing it around comfortably at the back, under little pressure
Makoun has taken up a more defensive position in the last 15 minutes in an attempt to stop Sneijder having such an effect on the game, a ploy that looks to be working well so far
Van der Vaart takes it himself and hits the target but it wasn't very well struck and was only a fraction to Hamidou's right so the keeper saves comfortably and holds on
N'Koulou is the first Cameroon player booked
Van der Vaart wins Holland a free-kick from Stephane M'bia just outside the penalty area
A smart back-heel from Van der Vaart inside the Cameroon box found Sneijder in space but he took too long to shoot and was closed down
Van Persie shows his frustration by attempting to lob Hamidou from 45 yards, missing by a long way
With Japan having scored against Denmark Holland need to be careful not to concede and lose their place at the top of the group
Great chance for Van Persie, who brought down a long ball on his chest, turned in the box and half-volleyed a shot towards goal but too close to Souleymanou Hamidou
Dirk Kuyt goes into the book for a rash sliding tackle in no man's land
Eric Choupo-Moting almost makes the Everton defender pay, rising at the front post to meet Geremi's set-piece but Giovanni van Bronckhorst just about got there first
Heitinga slices a clearance horribly, 30 yards out from goal, and manages to concede a corner
Holland get to apply some pressure down the left with Van der Vaart but Nicolas N'Koulou does well to block a couple of attempts to threat Van Persie in behind
Holland have just stopped being able to keep the ball the way they were in the opening few minutes, while Cameroon win another free-kick on the flank which Geremi wastes, hitting it over everyone and out for a goal kick
Geremi puts in another free-kick, this time from the right wing, curling dangerously into the box and forcing Stekelenburg to punch clear
Geremi seemed to attempt a shot from the set piece, all of 50 yards out. It was never going anywhere of use
Samuel Eto'o wins a free-kick from Johnny Heitinga after dropping deep to pick up the ball
Netherlands are, as expected, playing patient football but the three midfielders behind Van Persie are all interchangeable and look a menace
Jean Makoun gives Maarten Stekelenburg an early touch with a tame shot from 20 yards. Holland counter-attack, giving Rafael van der Vaart a chance to shoot but he scuffs it wide
Robin van Persie and Wesley Sneijder put together a well worked one-two but the Arsenal striker can't control the return pass
One of the new faces in the Cameroon team, Bong, almost found a way past Boulahrouz down the right wing but the defender held his ground well
An energetic start here even if neither side have been able to get into the final third of the pitch. Lots of off the ball movement and quick darts with the ball, very promising
Cameroon get the match underway and, with this new-look team, will hope to just contain Holland to begin with who have a wealth of attacking options
Cameroon on the other hand have brought in Gaeten Bong, Jean Makoun and Landry Nguemo for Achille Emana, Eyong Enoh and Sebastian Bassong, while Eric Choupo-Moting replaces Pierre Webo in attack
Only one change for Holland, as Khalid Boulahrouz comes in for Gregory van der Wiel as a more defensive option at right-back
Netherlands haven't lost in 21 matches and have won every competitive game since Euro 2008. If that isn't enough of an incentive, they will play Slovakia rather than Paraguay in the next round if they top Group E
Cameroon may not be able to get out of this group and into the Round of 16 but they won't role over for Holland here in Cape Town and the Dutch will want to keep up their winning run
Netherlands were forced to work for a 2-1 win over Cameroon, but produced when they needed to, keeping them top of Group E with a perfect record and with a round of 16 match with Slovakia to look forward to.
If the Dutch thought Cameroon, who had no chance of making the next round after losing their opening two matches, would roll over then they were proved wrong within the opening 15 minutes.
Goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg will certainly testify as to the African side's efforts, after he was forced into a desperate punch ten minutes in from one of many free-kicks from Geremi, then was rooted to his line five minutes later when Eric Choupo-Moting almost beat Giovanni van Bronckhorst to nod in a corner at the near post.
Most of their effort was in midfield though where they played like a team that wanted to impress before going home, compared to Holland's relaxed sense of comfort.
Worryingly for their future opponents, the Dutch were still able to contain Cameroon when it mattered and looked decisive going forward.
At no point was that clearer than with Robin van Persie's goal, which was made to look devilishly simple.
The Arsenal forward played a nice one-two with Rafael Van der Vaart, receiving the ball behind the defence and, under little pressure, firing under Souleymanou Hamidou into the far corner.
To Cameroon's growing credit they came out for the second half even more determined to make their belated mark on the tournament, even if that meant leaving gaps at the back that Van Persie looked ready to exploit.
A rash of substitutions on the hour livened up both sides, with youngster Vincent Aboubakar creating a golden chance for Jean Makoun, who couldn't beat Stekelenburg from close range.
The same two players combined to win a free-kick on the edge of the box which Geremi curled towards goal but found Van der Vaart's arm in the way, winning Cameroon a penalty which Samuel Eto'o put away with typical aplomb.
The African side weren't allowed to press for the lead as Netherlands decided to step up a gear, introducing Arjen Robben for his first outing of the tournament and taking a stretched Cameroon apart.
It was the Bayern Munich winger's run and shot from 20 yards that hit Hamidou's right-hand post and bounced out for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to pass the ball into the empty net, giving Holland the win they always looked like expecting to get.
