Shakers sweating on Eastham
Bury manager Richie Barker could be without Ashley Eastham again for the visit of high-flying Notts County.
The defender, on loan from Blackpool, missed Saturday's win over Bournemouth with an ankle injury and may once again be consigned to the sidelines.
Club captain Steven Schumacher made his first start following a calf strain and is set to continue to occupy in the midfield region against County.
Andy Bishop is likely to continue in attack after the former York striker netted the winner against the Cherries.
Mark Hughes, who came on as a substitute against Leyton Orient last week, marked his return to the Shakers defence following a hamstring injury with a solid performance alongside Efe Sodje and is set to retain his place.
Notts County expect to be without Gavin Mahon.
Mahon was an injury concern ahead of the visit of Brentford on Saturday after a groin problem forced him off late in the victory at Chesterfield the previous weekend.
The experienced midfielder passed a fitness test to start against the Bees but had to be withdrawn after just 25 minutes of the 1-1 draw.
Manager Martin Allen insists Mahon, who has started all of the Magpies' games in League One since joining the club at the end of August, will not play at Gigg Lane.
"It's his groin. It was sore last week so he had a fitness test before the game and was okay, but he obviously wasn't quite right. He won't play on Tuesday night," Allen told the Nottingham Post.
Charlie Allen, Femi Orenuga or Ishmel Demontagnac could find themselves brought in as a replacement for Mahon, while striker Karl Hawley will also hope for a recall.
Hughes double boosts County
Jeff Hughes struck twice from the spot to snatch a dramatic 2-2 draw for Notts County at Bury.
The Northern Ireland international struck 11 minutes from time to steal a point after his side had twice fallen behind. His first penalty cancelled out Andy Bishop's opener and his second came after Giles Coke had restored Bury's lead with a spot-kick of his own.
Bishop started the scoring within five minutes, rifling home a stunning first-time strike from the edge of the box.
But Shaun Harrad fluffed a golden opportunity to double the Shakers` lead, side-footing wide from Peter Sweeney's perfect cross.
The Magpies equalised when Steve Schumacher tripped Lee Hughes inside the box and his namesake slammed home.
Bury edged back in front through Coke`s penalty after Mike Edwards had handled inside his own area, but a Bury equaliser seemed inevitable. Jeff Hughes saw a header cleared off the line by Harrad but recovered to slot home his second penalty after Efe Sodje handled Lee Hughes` shot.
