Double concern for Shakers as Macc come to town
Bury manager Alan Knill could be missing Tom Lees and David Worrall due to flu for the visit of Macclesfield.
The pair have been struggling with a virus over the festive period and Knill admits they are doubtful.
Knill is still undecided about whether to call on goalkeeper Cameron Belford following his recovery from a fractured cheekbone.
The loan of Lees from Leeds has been extended until the end of the season, giving the Shakers a major boost as they bid to secure promotion from npower League Two.
The Gigg Lane outfit lie third in the table, despite not playing since December 11, and Knill said: "The foundations are there now - we have put ourselves in a strong position."
Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson will again be without defenders Carl Tremarco and Shaun Brisley.
The pair remain sidelined with hip injuries but Ricky Sappleton and Richard Butcher were back in action at Oxford on Tuesday after injury.
However, strikers Emile Sinclair and Vinny Mukendi missed the 2-1 reverse at the Kassam Stadium through injury and are both doubtful to face the Shakers.
Simpson said: "I'd be surprised if Vinny is going to be fit. There's a chance Emile might be available but we probably won't know until the day."
Simpson, meanwhile, admits Sappleton is not ready to play 90 minutes yet as he works his way back to full fitness and is set to start with him on the bench again.
Shakers stun Silkmen in draw
Bury came back from the dead at Gigg Lane to claim a point with two goals in the final eight minutes in their 2-2 draw with Macclesfield.
The Silkmen's on-loan right back Dan Gray was having a dream debut. After 29 minutes his long throw saw an unmarked Richard Butcher head home.
He then seemed to have sealed the points for the Silkmen after 69 minutes when he was also left unmarked by a hapless Shakers defence.
But with just eight minutes left Ryan Lowe set up a grandstand finish when he drove powerfully into the top corner of Jose Veiga's net, and six minutes later substitute Lenell John-Lewis was on hand to finish off some concerted pressure from the Shakers.
The home side had had the better of a dire first half-hour, with leading scorer Ryan Lowe going close on a number of occasions and Nicky Ajose forcing a fine save from Veiga.
The Silkmen's opening goal had seen a change of momentum and it was Macclesfield who dominated, with Tyrone Barnett in particular having a number of chances to finish the Shakers off, before Lowe set up the absorbing finale.
"Will David Moyes be able to turn it around at Ma..."
