Shakers high after Lowe return Bury boss Alan Knill will have striker Ryan Lowe available for the visit of Aldershot. Lowe has been nursing a dead leg but has been passed fit to to play against the Shots. However, his strike partner Andy Bishop is still a couple of weeks away from a return to the starting line-up after complications in his recovery from tendonitis. Winger David Worrall was hit by swine flu over the Christmas period and only returned to training at the end of last week. He made a 10-minute substitute appearance during last weekend's 1-0 defeat against Accrington, before admitting he is still a long way from peak fitness. The Shakers have not won in five matches and put in a dismal display at Accrington. New Aldershot boss Dean Holdsworth has no fresh injury concerns as he prepares for his first game as a Football League manager. Holdsworth has arrived from Newport County and will look for an improvement in performance to halt the club`s slide down the League Two table. On-loan Watford forward Liam Henderson made his debut in the 2-1 home defeat by Oxford last weekend and will hope to keep his place alongside Wade Small. Defender Aaron Morris will also be confident of winning a recall to the starting line-up after being signed on loan by Holdsworth at Newport. Striker Damian Spencer (knee ligament damage) and midfielder John Halls (groin) remain long-term absentees.

Deano denied dream debut A Steve Schumacher thunderbolt denied Dean Holdsworth a dream start to his reign as Aldershot manager as Bury held on for a 1-1 draw. The Bury midfielder's superb 71st-minute strike handed his side a share of the points after Holdsworth's charges had led for most of the match. Aldershot had taken a 10th-minute lead when Wade Small fed a neat ball to Jermaine McGlashan, who squared for Luke Guttridge to thump home from point-blank range. Despite dominating possession for long spells, Bury struggled to respond, with Kyle Bennett seeing his powerful cross-shot deflected over the crossbar by Ben Herd. And they had Cameron Belford to thank for keeping them in the game as he saved smartly to deny McGlashan either side of the break. Mike Jones wasted a glorious chance, dragging his shot wide from Bennett's delightful through-ball, but the breakthrough finally came when Schumacher rifled a 25-yard bullet into the bottom corner. A continuous threat, McGlashan had a goal chalked off for offside, while Efe Sodje made a great challenge to deny Danny Hylton an open net.
