Webster out for Brewers Burton will host Hereford at the Pirelli Stadium without the suspended Aaron Webster. Webster collected his fifth yellow card of the season during the 2-2 draw at Morecambe on New Year's Eve and he will miss Albion's first match of 2012. With Tony James still nursing a groin injury and Kevin Amankwaah allowed to leave the club after being told his short-term contract would not be renewed, Danny Blanchett is the likely replacement for Webster in the defence. Midfielders Adam Bolder and Andres Gurrieri and striker Justin Richards are also options for manager Paul Peschisolido should he wish to make any more changes. "I have no qualms about making changes where I see fit and the same will apply against Hereford on Monday if needs be," said the Canadian. Rob Purdie will be suspended for Hereford after collecting his fifth booking of the season. The 29-year-old utility player was booked in Friday night's 1-1 draw with Accrington to activate a one-match suspension for the trip to the Pirelli Stadium. Midfielder Joe Colbeck completed 90 minutes against Stanley to cement his recovery from a knee injury and should continue. Skipper Stefan Stam also made his comeback from injury, shaking off a long-term knee injury to marshal the Bulls' defence for the entirety of the game. Stam's return to action allows manager Jamie Pitman to permanently restore Benoit Dalibard and Ryan Green to their natural full-back positions. Number one goalkeeper Adam Bartlett's position could be under threat after his error allowed Accrington their second-half equaliser at Edgar Street and on-loan stopper David Cornell could be a willing deputy.

Bulls better Brewers Hereford eased their relegation worries with a 2-0 win - their first win since late October - as Burton's promotion push stalled. The Brewers had Andy Corbett sent off as they crashed to only their second home loss of the season despite Ross Atkins' penalty save from Tom Barkhuizen. Will Evans gave the Bulls the lead in the 23rd minute with a sweet strike from the edge of the penalty area after Burton had failed to clear to a Joe Colbeck cross. Barkhuizen could have doubled the advantage seven minutes later but his close range header from Colbeck's flick on was off target. Lethargic Burton had to wait until the stroke of half-time for their first opening but Billy Kee's six-yard shot was deflected over. Hereford had another chance to extend their lead five minutes after the break but Simon Clist's curling shot went narrowly wide. Burton had full-back Corbett sent off for bringing down Barkhuizen in the area in the 65th minute, but Ross Atkins briefly kept Burton in the contest by brilliantly keeping out Barkhuizen's spot kick. However, there was nothing Atkins could do to prevent Yoann Arquin from sealing the points for the Bulls with superb 25-yard shot in the 78th minute.
