Rowett excited by home draw
Burton boss Gary Rowett is excited by the prospect of his side's first ever home tie in the Capital One Cup.
Since winning promotion to the Football League in 2009, all seven of Albion's ties have been away.
On Tuesday night, the Pirelli Stadium will host its first fixture in the competition when Premier League club Fulham are the visitors for a second-round clash.
Rowett said: "I suppose it's unusual to have so many away ties on the trot but finally, after four years of waiting, we have been drawn at home.
"And it's a fantastic draw. You are ideally looking for a Premier League team, and I think it will be the first time we have played a top-flight team too in the competition, and we have got one and it's a chance to test ourselves against the best.
"It will be an occasion. It will be nice for our fans to see us play a Premier League team at our own stadium.
"We have been strong at home recently and we aim to continue to be so this season.
"Being at home will certainly help us. If you look at some of the teams, you know they are going to play a weakened side so that might help us too.
"But Fulham will see us as an opportunity to progress. I'm sure they will play two or three of their kids - but they will be good kids capable of playing in the Premier League."
Forward Billy Kee is expected to remain absent for the Brewers. Kee has been hampered by a thigh injury so far this season and he has been withdrawn while the club attempt to unearth exactly what the issue is. Zander Diamond is Rowett's other injury absentee but he is progressing well after damaging a ligament in his foot during pre-season.
Fulham midfielder Pajtim Kasami is delighted with the way the season has begun for him.
Prior to the 2013-14 campaign, Kasami had made just three Barclays Premier League starts for the Cottagers following his move from Italian side Palermo in 2011.
He has certainly played a full part so far this term, though, being on the field for the duration of the 1-0 victory at Sunderland on the opening day of the top-flight season and scoring the winner - his first Fulham goal.
The 21-year-old Macedonia-born Switzerland youth international also played for the whole of Saturday's 3-1 league loss to Arsenal at home, and, with how things are going personally for him at the moment, Kasami cannot wait for each game to come.
Fulham's next fixture is Tuesday night's Capital One Cup second-round tie at Sky Bet League Two outfit Burton, and, speaking ahead of the match to his club's official website, Kasami said: "Of course the Sunderland and Arsenal results were completely different.
"But personally I'm happy with my development and how I'm doing.
"I'm just continuing to work hard and I'm always looking forward to the next game."
Fulham forward Hugo Rodallega is set to make his first appearance of the season in the Burton game.
Jol has said he will make "a few changes" for the match and mentioned Rodallega and midfielder Ashkan Dejagah, another player who has not had any Premier League game time so far this term, specifically.
Goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg (shoulder) and defender Kieran Richardson (hamstring) remain on Fulham's casualty list.
