Winnall blow for beleaguered Albion
Burton continue their battle against relegation when Cheltenham visit the Pirelli Stadium but they will do so without Sam Winnall.
The on-loan Wolves striker will miss three of Albion`s remaining six matches through suspension after he was sent off during the defeat to Bury in midweek.
His enforced absence will pave the way for either Calvin Zola or Richard Walker to return to the starting line up on Saturday.
That could be the only change made by boss Paul Peschisolido, who was pleased with his side`s performance in the 1-0 loss at Gigg Lane.
The Canadian was angered by the display in the defeat at Morecambe in the previous game and made three changes on Tuesday night, with Jimmy Phillips, Greg Pearson and Tony James coming in for Adam Bolder, Walker and Tom Parkes.
Centre-half Nathan Stanton continues to nurse a groin problem and it remains to be seen whether he will return to the squad
Cheltenham winger Josh Low is touch and go but Jeff Goulding and Keith Lowe remain on the sidelines.
Low has missed the Robins' last two games having taken a blow to his leg in training and will undergo a late fitness test to decide whether he is included in manager Mark Yates` matchday 18.
Striker Goulding remains out with ankle ligament damage but could return after Easter to play a part in Town`s final two games of the season.
The outlook is less promising for right-back Lowe, however, who is nursing a similar injury and will play no further part in the campaign.
Young forward Theo Lewis could get some minutes under his belt having impressed for the club`s reserves in midweek.
Albion ease relegation fears
Greg Pearson and Jacques Maghoma netted as Burton moved three points clear of the League Two relegation zone with a 2-0 victory over Cheltenham.
Pearson put Burton in front from the penalty spot in the 31st minute and Maghoma struck 11 minutes from the end to clinch the home side's first win in five games.
A nervous Burton defence might have been punished in the opening stages but goalkeeper Adam Legzdins kept out a Brian Smikle shot and spared team-mate Darren Moore an own goal with one-handed saves.
Albion recovered and their persistent pressure was rewarded in the 31st minute.
Pearson netted from 15 yards after riding Gallinagh's challenge but referee David Foster had already whistled for a penalty - and the full-back was sent off before the Burton striker converted the spot kick.
Legzdins had to make an excellent save with his legs to deny Smikle the equaliser before Maghoma went close to doubling the home side's lead.
Burton looked capable of extending their lead after the break, but Jimmy Phillips fired narrowly wide and Robins keeper Scott Brown had to make a sliding challenge on the edge of his own area to deny Maghoma.
Smikle had a goal disallowed for the visitors in the 78th minute and Burton broke to allow Maghoma to seal victory with a close-range finish.
"Will David Moyes be able to turn it around at Ma..."
