Richards return brewing Burton hope to have leading scorer Justin Richards available when Bristol Rovers visit the Pirelli Stadium. Richards has been nursing a back strain since the 2-0 home defeat to Cheltenham. The 10-goal striker sat out training this week and will continue to be assessed. "Justin needed a couple of days break from training so he could get some treatment," Albion boss Paul Peschisolido told the Burton Mail. "Hopefully, he will be fully fit and firing by the time the weekend comes round." Billy Kee, dropped to the bench and replaced by Calvin Zola against Cheltenham last Friday, is likely to be recalled should Richards not make it. Aaron Webster and Chris Palmer will also be hoping for recalls. Meanwhile, Nathan Stanton is due to step up his training regime as he continues his recovery from knee surgery. The centre-half has not played since the Carling Cup defeat at Burnley during the first week of the season. Paul Buckle is coming to terms with two long-term injury problems ahead of the trip. Centre-back Adam Virgo is undergoing a knee operation having sustained cartilage damage in training and is expected to face an extended spell on the sidelines. "In the worst-case scenario he could be out for the rest of the season, best-case scenario a few months," Buckle told Rovers' official website. "Just when we think we are getting on the road to recovery with the players, we get this bad news. We wish him well in his operation." The 28-year-old joins Wayne Brown on the sidelines, with the goalkeeper out of action for up to three months with an ankle injury. Defender Danny Woodards is also set to miss out, having not recovered from a rib injury in time for the clash.

Kee unlocks Albion win Billy Kee`s fourth goal in his last six outings saw Burton come from behind to beat Bristol Rovers 2-1 at the Pirelli Stadium. Looking to build on their five-goal defeat of Rotherham, Rovers dominated the opening stages and took the lead in the 14th minute when Matt Harrold towered above the Burton defence to power home a header from Craig Stanley's free-kick. Scott McGleish wasted a gilt-edged chance to put the visitors further ahead before Burton hit back to level the scores in the 27th minute through winger Cleveland Taylor, who pounced on a loose ball to drill in a low shot from the edge of the area. And the Brewers went in front eight minutes later as Kee swept home Kevin Amankwaah's cross from eight yards out. After the break, Harrold had a header comfortably saved by Ross Atkins and it was Burton who had the better chances. Calvin Zola went close with a header, substitute Jacques Maghoma drove a low shot narrowly wide and Kee fired over from the edge of the box. Scott Rendell had a fierce shot blocked in a goalmouth scramble as Rovers battled in vain for a point.
