Chelsea are showing their class now as they retain possession and force Burnley to remain camped in their own half.

Chelsea will be looking to run down the clock and see out the remainder of this game as we tick into injury time.

Burnley work the ball forward and Eagles comes off the left hand side and shifts the ball onto his favored right foot. He unleashes a shot towards goal but it sails wide of the mark.

I would be suprised if Chelsea concede now. They look solid at the back and Burnley haven't really threatened since they equalised.

Chelsea play some neat intricate passes as Deco and Lampard pull the strings but the final ball is lacking and the organised Burnley defence continues to make the crucial interceptions.

Burnley are shwoing belief that they can get something out of this game! Chelsea are beginning to get frustrated as the clock runs down.

Martin Paterson gets forward and whips in a dangerous ball from the left hand side that forces the Chelsea defence to run towards their own goal but Lampard makes a fine interception.

Ashley Cole is forward again and the ball falls for him in the box and he looks to shoot but Carlisle gets the block in ten yards out. That was a crunching fifity-fifty and Ashley Cole seems to have jarred his ankle.

Chris Eagles leads a Burnley attack and has the chance to shoot from range. The shot is struck well and takes an awkward bounce just infront of Cech but the keeper makes the save look comfortably enough.

Chelsea continue to dominate and press for another goal but they can't seem to find the finishing touch. Anelka heads goalbound from a corner but Jensen is there to make the save.

Alex has the opportunity to get forward and he pulls the trigger from a long way out but his shot is less powerful than you would anticipate from the big defender and the shot bounces wide anyway.

Frank Lampard has the opportunity to strike a free-kick from range towards Jensen's goal and it's no suprise to see him take the shot on. The shot creeps through the wall but Jensen makes a save low to his left.

Edgar brings down Ivanovic on the Chelsea right and Malouda looks to deliver towards the big men forward from the back. Malouda whips the ball in but the cross is poor and only finds the arms of Jensen.

Frank Lampard takes a shot from the edge of the box but Carlisle makes the block. The ball ricochets for Joe Cole who pulls the trigger from a tight angle but fires just wide.

Joe Cole looks to get Chelsea back infront as he uses some neat footwork to create a yard of space to cross from the right. The ball picks out Ashley Cole arriving from fullback but he can only head straight at Jensen.

Chelsea continue to dominate after the break as they did before. Malouda strikes a shot from the edge of the box but he fires wide.

As the game drifts towards halftime Chelsea seem content to keep the ball in midfield and go into the break one goal to the good.

Zhrikov has been impressive today and again he links up with Malouda to win a corner for the visitors. The corner is taken by Lampard but comes to nothing.

Zhirkov and A Cole link up down the left hand side and Zhirkov puts on the burners to race to the byline and flash the ball across goal but A Cole can't quite get the finishing touch.

It's all Chelsea now as they win another free-kick. Lampard will deliver from the right hand side but his cross is a poor one and Burnley are able to clear with ease.

Zhirkov shows his willingness to work as he chases down a loose ball and wins a corner for a Chelsea side on the hunt for a second.

Burnley work the ball around the midfield and seem to be showing confidence on possession. The ball is worked wide to Eagles who crosses but Terry is there to cut it out.

Joe Cole wins a free-kick on the right hand side and Malouda will deliver. The ball is swung in but Jensen comes off his line to claim with ease.

Bikey, Eagles and Fletcher combine well on the left hand side in Burnley's best move of the game but as they look to switch the play to Elliott, Ashley Cole makes a good interception.

Burnley win a free-kick around thrity yards from goal and Blake will look to test Cech for the first time. Blake strikes it goalbound but his effort crashes into the defensive wall.

Lamapard picks the ball up and slides a through ball in between the defenders and into the path of Malouda but the flag is raised to put an end to a slick Chelsea move.

The game has slowed somewhat since that Lampard chance. Burnley have managed to get a foothold in the game and are holding off some pressure from the visitors.

Burnley are almost made to pay for some slack defending from a Chelsea break but Lampard blazes his shot from the edge of the box high and wide. It's not often you see the Chelsea man miss the target from there.

Malouda's corner is swung in but Bikey makes the clearance at the front post. It's not been a particularly impressive start from the home side and Chelsea will look to capitalise.

Joe Cole crosses from the right hand side but the delivery is poor. It takes a ricochet and the Burnley defence struggles to deal with it and Chelsea earn a corner.

Chelsea dominate the early play but a slip from Alex almost lets Fletcher in behind but the chance comes to nothing.
