Match Preview
Double boost for Rovers Bristol Rovers manager Dave Penney has welcomed the return of Danny Coles and Chris Lines ahead of table-topping Brighton's visit to the Memorial Ground. Defender Coles and midfielder Lines return to the Rovers side after completing suspensions that ruled them out of the 2-1 midweek defeat to MK Dons. "That will strengthen us and freshen us up again," said Penney of the duo's return. "Having new players in will give me the chance to rotate things, if I feel it's necessary." Penney, though, is likely to be without central defender Dave McCracken and skipper Stuart Campbell as Rovers attempt to claw their way up the table and out of the relegation zone. The pair were both forced off during the midweek home defeat with hamstring injuries, which Penney admitted was a "blow" after the game. Radostin Kishishev could return to the Brighton squad for the trip. The Bulgarian midfielder has been sidelined for 10 days with a back problem but is expected to be back in training by the end of the week. Defender Jim McNulty and midfielders Alan Navarro and Jamie Smith are the only definite absentees. McNulty will not feature again this season after undergoing an ankle operation. Navarro has been pencilled in for a return to full training later this month having been out since August with a ruptured cruciate ligament and Smith is a couple of months away with a broken metatarsal. Craig Noone and Chris Wood are pushing for starts after dropping to the bench for Tuesday's goalless draw at Leyton Orient.

Match Report
Seagulls march on Brighton moved three points clear at the top of League One with a 4-2 victory at struggling Bristol Rovers. The Seagulls suffered a second-minute shock when Will Hoskins fired Rovers ahead from 25 yards, but a rasping drive from Ashley Barnes gave Gus Poyet's side a 38th-minute equaliser. Elliott Bennett then slotted home from a Barnes pass after 51 minutes, then a 74th-minute own goal from Cian Bolger and a 78th-minute header from Glenn Murray from Craig Noone's cross put the visitors in command. Bolger then set up Hoskins to score his second of the game to take his goal tally for the season to 17, but the damage had already been done. Rovers hit a post through a long-range effort from Gavin Williams and had another Hoskins strike ruled out for a marginal offside decision. But Brighton showed plenty of quality throughout the game and had the ball in the net twice more themselves only to be denied by a linesman's flag.
