Trio set for Rovers returns Matt Gill, Joe Anyinsah and Stuart Campbell could all return for Bristol Rovers when they host Barnet. The trio missed Rovers' 3-1 victory over Corby in the first round of the FA Cup but are back in training with manager Paul Buckle hoping their expected comebacks will bolster his squad. Captain Gill (calf) is almost certain to start but Buckle insists he will not rush midfielder Campbell (calf) back while striker Anyinsah is training again following his slight hip and hamstring injuries. Left winger Ben Swallow was recalled from his loan spell with Blue Square Bet Premier side Bath in midweek due to the Pirates' depleted numbers, so could make Buckle's squad. Midfielder Wayne Brown (ankle) is a long-term absentee and defender Adam Virgo (knee) has been ruled out for the season. Gary Borrowdale has joined Barnet's mounting casualty list. The on-loan QPR full-back suffered a groin injury during last weekend's FA Cup win over Southport and is struggling to be fit. The Bees were already without Daniel Leach, Anwar Uddin, Ricky Holmes, Izale McLeod and Steve Kabba and boss Lawrie Sanchez could name only four substitutes instead of seven. Top scorer McLeod (dead leg) is back in training and should return but Holmes (thigh) is a doubt and fellow striker Kabba (knee) is set to miss out again along with defenders Leach (tendon) and Uddin (ankle). Darren Dennehy played despite a recent bout of food poisoning and should keep his place alongside West Brom loanee Paul Downing at centre-half.

Rovers' Buckle under pressure Izale McLeod's 13th goal of the season put Barnet on course for a 2-0 victory at Bristol Rovers, which piles further pressure on home boss Paul Buckle. The striker headed the visitors in front from close range on 19 minutes after Mark Hughes had got the first touch to a Mark Byrne corner. Byrne curled home the second goal with the last kick of the match after latching onto a poor clearance, leaving Rovers fans to vent their fury against Buckle at the final whistle. Goalkeeper Dean Brill had protected Barnet's lead in the dying minutes with brilliant saves from Elliot Richards and defender Michael Hector, who almost sliced into his own net. And Rovers' misery was compounded by what looked a serious injury to substitute Scott McGleish. The veteran striker was stretchered off on 82 minutes. Marr Harrold headed against a post for Rovers from Matt Gill's 14th-minute corner and Gill was just off target with a 41st-minute shot. But the home side struggled to test Brill in a first half which saw the visitors play intelligently on the break, with McLeod always a threat. Frustration grew among home supporters as, despite seven minutes of stoppage time, their team could not force an equaliser before Barnet's late second.
