Match Preview
Three missing for Robins Bristol City will be without a trio of players for the visit of Burnley to Ashton Gate. Left-back Greg Cunningham's ruptured ankle tendon means he remains on the sidelines until late November while midfielders Marvin Elliott (hernia) and Neil Kilkenny (hamstring) will not feature. Joe Bryan recovered from concussion to be an unused substitute on Saturday while on-loan Middlesbrough defender Stephen McManus is expected to retain his place despite picking up a knock to his knee on his second debut at The Reebok Stadium, a performance that delighted manager Derek McInnes. "It was good to get Stephen McManus 90 minutes and I think he'll be better for that because he's not had a lot of football of late," McInnes said. "You could see exactly what he's going to bring to us and it's something that we've needed." Danny Ings will continue to push for a first-team return for Burnley. Ings resumed to full training last week following cartilage surgery but the former Bournemouth forward failed to make caretaker manager Terry Pashley's squad for the 1-0 derby triumph over Blackpool at Turf Moor. David Edgar was an unused substitute at the weekend following his lengthy journey back from international duty with Canada last week. The 25-year-old will push for a return to the starting line-up, but Pashley may be reluctant to change a back four that kept the Clarets' first clean sheet since the 2-0 opening day triumph over Bolton. Charlie Austin continued his remarkable purple patch in front of goal by netting the winner against Blackpool, his 16th goal of the season. Those strikes have come in 13 appearances and the 23-year-old ex-Swindon hitman has netted in each of his last seven games, including two hat-tricks and a brace.
