Match Report
Lloyd Owusu claimed a vital point as relegation-threatened Brighton twice came from behind at Huddersfield.
This game was billed as a tribute to Town legend Andy Booth. The veteran striker, who retires at the end of the season, had the fans singing his name when he broke the deadlock after just 15 minutes.
But Brighton failed to follow the script and fought all the way in their battle to avoid the drop.
Booth, 35, who had scored three goals in his previous two matches, put Huddersfield ahead with a trademark header from Robbie Williams' perfectly placed corner.
Before that, Brighton had two early chances which saw Doug Loft fire wide before Owusu took a touch instead of hitting the ball first time giving keeper Alex Smithies time to close him down.
Booth struck in typical fashion when he ghosted in unmarked to head Williams' corner back across goal and over the line despite Tommy Elphick's attempt to head the ball clear.
Williams then smashed a 35-yard drive against the crossbar and with the fans roaring Huddersfield on, Booth was denied by keeper Michels Kuipers.
Huddersfield could not capitalise on their period of pressure and the Seagulls levelled seven minutes before the break.
Sub Calvin Andrew was left free to head home from Dean Cox's corner.
Huddersfield regained the lead when Michael Collins stroked home his 10th goal of the campaign from a Danny Cadamarteri pass to finish a well-worked move before the hour mark.
Huddesfield's Achilles heel of poor defending returned to hurt them again in the 66th minute when they failed to clear their lines and Owusu stooped to head in from close range.
Booth, still hunting one more goal for a milestone 160 for the club, nodded over from Cadamarteri's cross just before the second equaliser and he went close again later when Kuipers tipped away his header from another Williams corner.
Brighton held out despite a stoppage time scare when Town sub Lionel Ainsworth raced away but his shot went wide and the Seagulls go into the last game of the season at home to Stockport as favourites to stay up.
