Match Preview

Bridcutt back in contention Liam Bridcutt returns to the Brighton squad for the visit of Wolves but Bruno and Inigo Calderon are out. Midfielder Bridcutt was rested for last weekend's 2-1 win at Leeds and boss Gus Poyet confirmed he is set to play. But Bruno suffered a calf injury at Elland Road while fellow full-back Calderon was sent off and serves a one-match ban. Centre-half Adam El-Abd or midfielder Dani Lopez could therefore be asked to fill in at right-back. Left-back Wayne Bridge was also rested at Leeds and his fitness will be assessed ahead of the match. Strikers Craig Mackail-Smith (Achilles) and Will Hoskins (knee) are still out but Poyet says he will not make major changes despite already being assured of fourth place and a play-off spot. Bakary Sako is touch and go for Wolves' final-day trip as the Black Country club go all out to try and salvage their Championship status. The influential French winger rushed back from a hamstring lay-off for last weekend's crucial clash at home to Burnley but, despite coming off the bench just before the hour mark, could not inspire a turnaround as Wanderers went down 2-1. Sako endured a slight reaction from his 30-minute outing and is now a doubt for the encounter at the Amex Stadium. But Wolves are boosted by the return of midfielder Jamie O'Hara after he completed his three-match suspension. Long-term absentees David Davis (ankle), Carl Ikeme (broken hand), Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (broken leg), Dave Edwards (metatarsal) and Razak Boukari (calf) remain unavailable. Manager Dean Saunders must lead his side to victory over in-form play-off contenders Brighton and hope both Peterborough and Barnsley lose, while also turning around a four-goal swing, to stand a chance of survival.
