Match Preview

Poyet to ring changes Brighton manager Gus Poyet will make changes to his side for the FA Cup first-round visit of Woking. Peter Brezovan will start in goal in place of regular number one Casper Ankergren while Tommy Elphick is likely to be recalled at the back. Fringe players Lewis Dunk, Liam Bridcutt and Argentinian duo Cristian Baz and Agustin Battipiedi could also be in line for rare starts. Midfielder Matt Sparrow is fit after a groin injury and should figure while Glenn Murray and Ashley Barnes are expected to keep their places up front. But winger Kazenga LuaLua is ineligible under the terms of his loan deal from Newcastle and midfielder Alan Navarro (cruciate) and striker Fran Sandaza (thigh) are still on the sidelines. Woking boss Graham Baker has two injury concerns ahead of the trip. Ricky Anane sustained a badly swollen knee in last weekend`s victory at Hampton & Richmond and will undergo a fitness test. Defensive colleague Ryan Blake is suffering from a hip injury and will also be assessed but the Cards have no suspensions or cup-tied players. Baker accepts his side are huge underdogs against the League One leaders but said: "The beauty of football is that sometimes the unexpected happens. Our players have nothing to lose and are looking forward to playing in a big game on Saturday. "They will have to give their all on the day and hope that Lady Luck shines on them too."

Match Report

Seagulls held by minnows League One leaders Brighton face an FA Cup replay at Blue Square Bet South Division side Woking after the Cards forced a highly creditable 0-0 draw at Withdean. The Seagulls made six changes against a team 82 places below them and were frustrated throughout. Brighton, who had scored 12 unanswered goals in their previous four games, came closest to snatching victory when substitute Gary Hart shot wastefully wide from six yards shortly after the break. Brighton keeper Peter Brezovan, recalled in place of Casper Ankergren, came to his side's rescue after 29 minutes by blocking an effort from Moses Ademola who broke dangerously through the middle. Brighton got in behind their opponents for the first time when a cross by skipper Inigo Calderon was not cleared and Gary Dicker shot wide from close in. Glenn Murray disappointingly headed over for Brighton just after the break, and substitute Agustin Battipiedi came close to settling the issue late on when his goal-bound shot was blocked by defender Joe McNerney.
