Match Preview
Barnes sits it out Ashley Barnes looks set to miss Brighton's midweek home clash against Notts County. The striker twisted his ankle during the 1-0 victory at Oldham and boss Gus Poyet said he needed "a miracle" for the striker to feature. Fran Sandaza and Gary Hart are in line to replace Barnes, but Chris Wood could be handed a start before he leaves to join up with the New Zealand squad for an international match. Defender Tommy Elphick is back in contention after missing the trip to Boundary Park with mumps, but Jim McNulty (ankle) and Jamie Smith (foot) will both miss out. The Seagulls have won five games on the spin and have kept three clean sheets in a row. Notts County striker Craig Westcarr could be in line for a return from a knee injury. Westcarr picked up a knock in the Magpies' 1-0 home defeat against Peterborough and has not featured since. County were boosted by the return of Lee Hughes against Bristol Rovers on Saturday after the 12-goal striker had missed five games with a thigh injury. He could partner Njogu Demba-Nyren up front if Westcarr fails to recover, but Alan Gow and Febian Brandy are also in contention to start. Midfielder Ricky Ravenhill has not featured since March 8 as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury. Ince's side have scored just once in their last five matches, leaving them three points above the relegation zone.

Match Report
Inigo helps Albion march on Inigo Calderon hit the only goal as runaway League One leaders Brighton went 10 points clear with a 1-0 win over Notts County. The Spanish full-back secured a sixth straight win for Gus Poyet's men to nudge them closer to promotion when he tucked in Craig Noone's cross at the far post after 64 minutes. County, now beaten in five of their last six games, put up a spirited display but Brighton keeper Casper Ankergren was rarely tested as the Seagulls pulled off their ninth win in a row at home. Striker Chris Wood wasted two good chances for Brighton inside the first five minutes. The New Zealander put the ball in the side-netting following a cross by Calderon before heading an Elliott Bennett free-kick over from six yards. Seagulls top scorer Glenn Murray was also off target when directing a header over following a Gary Dicker corner, before County keeper Stuart Nelson tipped a dipping 25-yard drive from Bennett over. Albion substitute Francisco Fandaza forced Nelson to make a good late save and Brighton comfortably held on with Ankergren easily keeping out a late effort from Alan Gow.
