Match Preview
Calderon banned Brighton host Leyton Orient without Inigo Calderon on New Year`s Day while new signing Craig Noone is also unavailable. Spanish defender Calderon was shown a red card for a crunching tackle on midfielder Therry Racon as the Seagulls drew 1-1 with Charlton. Winger Noone has arrived from Plymouth for an undisclosed fee on Friday morning and will complete his switch on January 1, too late to be involved against Orient. Alan Navarro is a long-term injury absentee as he recovers from serious cruciate ligament damage sustained in the Carling Cup clash with Northampton. The influential midfielder will not be able to play any part in Brighton`s npower League One campaign until at least mid-February. Young striker Chris Holroyd has returned to the club following a successful loan spell at Stevenage where he scored six goals in 12 appearances. He was an unused substitute in the draw with the Addicks and may continue on the bench. Gus Poyet`s side are yet to be beaten in the league at the Withdean Stadium this season. Orient are without Terrell Forbes. The defender picked up a red card in the FA Cup match against Droylsden and will not make the trip to the Withdean Stadium. Defender Andrew Whing is ineligible for the match as he is on-loan from the Seagulls. However, defender Ben Chorley returns from suspension, while midfielders Dean Cox, Adam Chambers and goalkeeper Jamie Jones return after illness, calf and hernia problems respectively. The Os have not played a league match since their 2-1 victory over Tranmere and the goalscorers from that encounter, striker Scott McGleish and Irish midfielder Stephen Dawson, should start. Striker Alex Revell is the club`s top scorer, with eight league goals this season, and will lead the line against Gus Poyet`s table toppers.

Match Report
Murray hits treble in Seagulls rout Glenn Murray extended his goals tally for the season to 10 with a hat-trick as Brighton stormed to a 5-0 thrashing of Leyton Orient - their first league win in six games. Orient, playing their first match for three weeks, were outplayed at Withdean Stadium with Brighton consolidating their position at the top of npower League One. The Seagulls broke the deadlock when Murray struck in the 29th minute with a low-shot in to the bottom corner following a cross by Chris Wood. The lead was doubled two minutes later when Orient keeper Jamie Jones, caught off his line, could only palm a goal bound cross from Wood into the roof of his own net. Murray put Brighton firmly in control of the match five minutes after the interval with a well worked goal, finding the net from close range following a pass by Liam Bridcutt. Murray completed his hat-trick on the hour getting in front of keeper Jones to slot in a ball from Elliott Bennett. Substitute Ashley Barnes, who came on to replace Murray, put the finishing touch to Brighton's emphatic victory 17 minutes from time from close in after his initial header was saved. Orient were denied a late consolation when substitute Adam Chambers cannoned a shot against the post.
