Match Preview
Calderon boost for Seagulls Inigo Calderon has been passed fit for Brighton's home clash with Exeter. The Spanish full-back suffered a gashed foot during Saturday's 3-0 win at Peterborough but managed to complete the 90 minutes and will be available again. Midfielder Matt Sparrow will have a late fitness check on the groin injury which kept him out at the weekend, while striker Fran Sandaza is set to miss out after suffering a recurrence of a thigh problem. Alan Navarro is the only long-term absentee at the Withdean, the midfielder targeting a return to action in February following a cruciate injury. Saturday's success at Posh has left Brighton eight points clear at the top of the table. Exeter boss Peter Tisdale is likely to be without the services of striker John O'Flynn for the trip. O'Flynn was withdrawn after 12 minutes of the 4-2 defeat against Brentford with a groin injury and is unlikely to make a recovery in time. Experienced front-man Jamie Cureton could to return to the starting line-up as a replacement following his impressive substitute appearance against the Bees, which saw him find the net twice. Club captain Richard Logan will not be rushed into action despite returning to training following two months on the treatment table with a back injury, whilst Daniel Nardiello is seeking help from a specialist for the hamstring injury that has hampered his season so far. The Grecians will be looking for a return to winning ways following two consecutive league defeats but will find it tough against a Brighton side unbeaten in 11 games with eight wins and three draws.

Match Report
Barnes brace boosts Seagulls Ashley Barnes followed up his two goals against Peterborough on Saturday with another brace as table-topping Brighton stretched their unbeaten run to 12 games with a 3-0 win over Exeter. Defender Adam El-Abd gave the Seagulls the perfect start after only seven minutes, heading in a corner from Elliott Bennett. Barnes doubled the advantage from the penalty spot on the half-hour after Troy Archibald-Henville bundled over Glenn Murray in the area. Barnes put the seal on Brighton's fourth straight win by blasting his seventh of the season from a pass by Bennett with 13 minutes remaining. Keeper Artur Krysiak produced fine saves from substitute Augustin Battipiedi, Barnes and Kazenga LuaLua in stoppage time to spare Exeter a heavier defeat. Exeter, forced to make six changes after sickness swept through their camp, rarely threatened and James Norwood blazed their best opportunity wide.
