Match Preview

Bees boosted by Eger return Simon Moore continues in goal for Brentford when they face Sheffield Wednesday in npower League One. Regular number one Richard Lee is still sidelined with the shoulder injury which ruled him out of last week's defeat by Stevenage, so youngster Moore gets another chance. Defender Marcel Eger could be added to the squad after recovering from the ankle problem which has sidelined him since January. But skipper Kevin O'Connor remains on the sidelines due to a foot injury, fellow midfielder Adam Forshaw is back at parent club Everton for treatment on a broken jaw and winger Myles Weston is struggling with an ankle knock. The Bees need a victory to stand any chance of keeping their play-off hopes alive until the final day of the season. Sheffield Wednesday winger Michail Antonio is expected to shake off a shoulder injury in time. Antonio, on loan from Reading, damaged his shoulder during last week's win over Carlisle in which he scored a stoppage-time winner. But manager Dave Jones expects his dangerman to declare himself fit for the Owls' penultimate game of the npower League One season as they chase victory that could lift them temporarily above Sheffield United into second place in the table ahead of their city rivals' evening kick-off against Stevenage. Jones has no other new injury or suspension problems and is unlikely to make any un-enforced changes. Defenders Julian Bennett (knock) and Reda Johnson (thigh), who have missed the last three and four games respectively, are both battling to prove their fitness, while skipper Rob Jones may have to make do with a place on the substitutes' bench again due to the current form of central defenders Miguel Llera and Danny Batth.
