Match Preview

Logan worry for Bees Brentford could be without Shaleum Logan for the London derby visit of Leyton Orient. The full-back, a summer signing from Manchester City, has been sent for a scan to discover the extent of an ankle injury. Logan suffered the problem during the opening stages of Tuesday night's 2-1 win against Exeter but still managed to get through the entire game. He is doubtful for the weekend so skipper Kevin O'Connor could drop into the back four. Striker Charlie MacDonald missed out on a place in the squad for tactical reasons at St James' Park but manager Uwe Rosler says he should return. Midfielder Toumani Diagouraga (knee) and winger Kirk Hudson (hip) remain in the treatment room. Jonathan Tehoue, Leon McSweeney and Jamie Jones are still out but Leyton Orient have no new injury worries for the short trip. French striker Tehoue serves the final game of his three-match suspension for his red card at Southend in the Carling Cup. Midfielder McSweeney faces another couple of weeks on the sidelines with the knee injury he suffered on his debut against Walsall, and goalkeeper Jones is out for six months following a shoulder operation. Boss Russell Slade named an unchanged side against Wycombe on Tuesday night but may make changes after watching them slip to their third straight npower League One defeat. Midfielder Marc Laird and striker David Mooney are pushing to make their full debuts.

Match Report

Saunders stings Orient as Bees run riot Brentford's Sam Saunders hit two stunning free-kicks in a 5-0 rout of London rivals Leyton Orient. The Bees took the lead inside six minutes when Celtic loan signing Niall McGinn cut in from the left and lashed a low drive inside the post. But it was all quiet until the second half exploded into life after 53 minutes when Saunders found Leon Legge unmarked at the far post to head home. Then it was time for Saunders to take centre stage, when he whipped an unstoppable free-kick from 20 yards into the far corner after 54 minutes. He made it four shortly before the end with a curled free-kick into the near corner which left Orient keeper Lee Butcher rooted to his line. McGinn flashed an effort against the post but there was still time for Marcus Bean to complete the thrashing with a low-angled drive into the bottom corner.
