Match Preview

Forster sweating over Saunders Brentford boss Nicky Forster will check on the fitness of Sam Saunders before the visit of Huddersfield. The winger limped off just after half-time in the Bees' 1-0 win at Charlton and left The Valley on crutches. He was replaced by Myles Weston, who looks set to retain his place in the side. But top-scorer Charlie McDonald will miss out after failing to recover from ankle ligament damage. Lewis Grabban could be given the nod up front again, but Robbie Simpson will also be vying for a place. Midfielder Sam Wood recently returned to full training following a broken arm but will not be fit in time to face the Terriers. The Bees avoided a third successive defeat on Saturday and will be looking to build upon that when the Lee Clark's side are in town. Clark has no new injury or suspension problems for the clash. He is still without half a dozen first-team players, though, with Anthony Pilkington, Antony Kay, Lee Peltier, Ian Bennett, Gary Naysmith and Damien Johnson sidelined through injury and suspension. Winger Pilkington is out for the rest of the season after dislocating his ankle and breaking his fibula in last week's home win over Rochdale and defender/midfielder Kay is struggling with ankle ligament damage. Right-back Peltier sits out the third game of his four-match ban, goalkeeper Bennett has a groin injury, defender Naysmith (calf) is closing on a return, but not yet ready and midfielder Johnson has long-term knee ligament damage. The Terriers are looking to extend their unbeaten league run to 16 games and retain second spot in the table.
