Match Preview

Rosler to rule on duo Brentford will check on Toumani Diagouraga and Shaleum Logan ahead of the clash with Exeter. Boss Uwe Rosler expects Diagouraga to shake off the knock which forced him to miss Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Yeovil, while right-back Logan is edging closer to a return following a hamstring injury. Diagouraga's return will be welcome as fellow midfielder Marcus Bean is still missing with an ankle problem and club captain Kevin O'Connor remains sidelined with a foot injury. Youngsters Jake Bidwell and Saido Berahino were rested at the weekend following international duty and could be back in the starting line-up. Rosler started with Simon Moore in goal despite regular number one Richard Lee being fit after illness so the manager has a decision to make. Exeter are set to be without Billy Jones once again. Jones sat out the Grecians' 1-1 draw with Stevenage at St James Park on Saturday with a thigh problem, and the injury is likely to rule the full-back out of the visit to Griffin Park. Luke O'Brien, who impressed on his debut at left-back against Boro, is set to fill in for Jones once again, but manager Paul Tisdale has no other injury or suspension worries ahead of the clash. Jamie Cureton, who arrived on loan from Leyton Orient last week, will keep his place up front alongside Richard Logan, although Daniel Nardiello, Jake Taylor and Guillem Bauza will all be hoping for recalls.

Match Report

Berahino double sinks Grecians Teenage striker Saido Berahino scored twice to help Brentford to a comfortable 2-0 win that sent Exeter into the bottom four. Berahino, on loan West Brom, struck either side of the break to make it four goals since his move from The Hawthorns. He was on hand minutes before the interval to lash home a bobbling ball from close range after Jake Bidwell's free-kick. Exeter's cause was not helped when skipper David Noble was shown a straight red card for an elbow on Bees defender Harlee Dean just after the hour mark. The visitors' misery was compounded a minute later when Berahino headed home Adam Forshaw's right-wing cross unmarked at the far post. City came closest in the first half when veteran striker Jamie Cureton got behind the home defence, but saw his effort blocked at close-range by goalkeeper Simon Moore, while Berahino might have grabbed his first ever hat-trick but for a save at the foot of his post by Grecians goalkeeper Artur Krysiak.
