Match Preview
Bees set to be Legge-less Brentford look set to be without defender Leon Legge when they host Exeter on Friday night. The centre-half is struggling with a calf injury and is not expected to be available so Karleigh Osborne or David McCracken will partner Pim Balkestein at the back. Sam Saunders is still not fit following a hamstring problem and fellow winger Sam Wood is recovering from a broken arm. Striker Carl Cort remains a long-term absentee with a torn Achilles. Long-serving skipper Kevin O'Connor should keep his place in midfield after signing a new contract this week. The clash is the first of two meetings in four days between the sides, with Exeter due back at Griffin Park on Tuesday in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Exeter could hand a start to goalkeeper Artur Krysiak. Regular stopper Paul Jones has conceded 11 goals in his last four league appearances and manager Paul Tisdale has a fit-again Krysiak at his disposal after illness. Midfielder James Dunne recovered from illness to start against MK Dons in a 1-1 draw and should continue alongside Ryan Harley, who will remain at the club after a bid from Brighton was rejected. Leading-scorer Jamie Cureton scored his ninth league goal of the season against the Dons, in a week where he committed himself to the club until the end of the season, and should partner striker Richard Logan at Griffin Park. The 35-year-old faced a barrage of abuse from Bees fans at St James' Park earlier this season. Cureton scored the goal for Reading in 2002 that secured the club's promotion at the London outfit's expense.

Match Report
Forster late show thwarts Grecians Brentford substitute Nicky Forster salvaged a 1-1 with his first touch in a game of two halves with Exeter. It was a confidence booster for the Bees ahead of Monday night's Johnson's Paint Trophy Southern Final clash between the two sides. Forster's 94th minute equaliser came when he hammered home after a goalmouth melee to earn the Londoners a deserved point after John O'Flynn had given the Grecians a second minute lead. He capitalised on a slip by Brentford left-back Craig Woodman to run on and fire an angled drive into the bottom corner. The first half was all Exeter. Liam Sercombe fired over the angle and Troy Archibald-Henville headed wide when unmarked. The Bees only effort before the break came when Steve Tully saved Charlie MacDonald's low drive only for Marc Laird to sidefoot against the upright. It was a different story after the break, Marcus Bean finding the side netting for the home side as they laid siege to the visitors' goal. Keeper Tully was the hero saving a 20 yard piledriver from Myles Weston before tipping MacDonald's smart turn and shot on to the bar When MacDonald side-footed wide from close range late on it looked like a goal would never come - until Forster's late, late strike.
