Moyes bows to illness
Brechin defender Ewan Moyes, on loan from Hibernian, is unlikely to feature in the home clash with Peterhead due to illness.
City manager Jim Weir, hoping his side can build on last week's win over Dumbarton, has no other new injury or suspension worries.
Weir said: "Last week was a bit of role reversal where we got the points without playing well.
"A couple of times this season we've played well and not got the points, so I cannot complain too much.
"We will need to do better in this game as Peterhead are a good side and they will be full of confidence after getting their first win under their belts."
Peterhead will be without defender Bobby Mann, midfielder Nicky Clark and striker Connor Gethins.
All three players are sidelined through injury, but Scott Ross, Daniel Moore and Davie Ross have all proved their fitness and will be ppushing for a place in the starting line-up.
The Blue Toon secured their first league win of the season against Alloa last weekend.
Manager Neale Cooper said: "While no-one was panicking at not winning, it was good to get it out of the way and the players had an extra spring in their step this week.
"Brechin will be a real test, but we have played really well there in the past and will look to do so again."
McAllister sends Brechin top
Brechin moved top of the table with an emphatic 4-2 win over struggling Peterhead at Glebe Park thanks to a hat-trick from Rory McAllister.
Craig Malloy opened the scoring for City after just two minutes when he drilled past Peterhead keeper John Bateman from close range following a knock down from McAllister.
The Blue Toon were back on level terms in the 11th minute when Dennis Wyness side-footed home from the penalty spot following a foul on Graeme Sharp.
McAllister then took over for City, netting goals in the 39th and 58th minutes before completing his hat-trick with a 66th minute header to ensure his team took all three points before Martin Bavidge scored an injury time consolation for Peterhead.
