Match Preview

Same again for Hedgemen Brechin City will be unchanged for the visit of fellow promotion-chasers Forfar. Striker Rory McAllister and defender Ewan Moyes are still suspended and Gerry McLauchlan is injured as they look to end a six-game run without a win. Manager Jim Weir said: "The players are giving us everything they can at the moment but they are simply just not getting any breaks. "A win over Forfar would lift everyone's spirits and push us even closer to that play-off place. "All that has been missing recently is a wee bit of luck and if we get that we will do okay and get things moving back up." David Mowatt is unavailable and Iain Campbell suspended for Forfar. The Loons will look to make it three wins in a row and inch ever closer to a play-off place for the second season running. Station Park assistant manager Ian Campbell said: "Apart from David and Iain we have a fully-fit squad to pick from. "We have been looking more like ourselves in the last couple of games but we need to be prepared to work really hard in this one as despite recent results Brechin are a good side. "A win takes us ever closer to what we want to achieve but Brechin will want to win for their own purposes so it should be a really good contest."

Match Report

Hilson strike enough for Forfar Dale Hilson scored his third goal of the season as Forfar secured their Second Division play-off place with a 1-0 win over 10-man Brechin. The 18-year-old striker, on a season-long loan from Dundee United, neatly converted Ross Campbell's dangerous cross from the left wing in the 58th minute to secure the points. Brechin had David McKenna dismissed for a professional foul after only 25 minutes, but they created plenty of chances but could not find a way past Loons goalkeeper Neil Duffy. James Redman headed over from close range after just seven minutes for the hosts before Duffy palmed away a number of efforts, the best of which was a curling effort from substitute Daniel McKay in the 64th minute.
