Bantams wait on Hanson James Hanson is a major doubt for Bradford's home encounter with high-flying Torquay. The striker scored the winner against fellow strugglers Macclesfield in midweek but was forced off with a hamstring injury. His progress will be closely monitored by the club's medical staff and he may face a late fitness test. Captain Simon Ramsden will definitely miss out after it was revealed that he will visit a specialist on Friday to clear up a mystery injury. The 29-year-old defender has already had surgery on a hip problem and was edging closer to a first-team return, but boss Peter Jackson admitted he may now miss the rest of the season. Tommy Doherty could return to the squad following an ankle injury, while Luke Oliver looks set to continue in defence after recently making his comeback from a hamstring problem. Torquay will be without Craig Stanley. The on-loan Morecambe midfielder will serve the first of a two-match ban after he picked up his 10th booking of the season in the 2-0 home win over Lincoln last Saturday. Gulls boss Paul Buckle has a number of options to replace Stanley, Eunan O'Kane could take his place after coming on as a 56th-minute substitute against the Imps with on-loan QPR man Joe Oastler another option. An alternative would be to move Lee Mansell into the centre of the park, putting Mark Ellis in at centre-half with Chris Robertson moving to right-back. Other than Stanley's absence, Buckle has a full quota of players to choose from. On-loan Ipswich striker Ronan Murray had been suffering from flu this week but has now fully recovered.

Match Report

Gulls soar to Bradford win In-form Torquay consolidated their League Two play-off place with a deserved 3-0 win at Bradford. Torquay, who have now lost only two of their last 16 league matches, established a 1-0 half-time lead when left-back Kevin Nicholson put them in front in the 31st minute with a shot from the edge of the penalty area. Eunan O'Kane played a short free-kick into his path and Nicholson struck the ball through the Bradford defensive wall, giving goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin no chance. The visitors added a second goal in the 59th minute with a slick move that ended with Jake Robinson crossing from the left and Gavin Tomlin tapping the ball into the net from close range. Substitute Billy Kee then put the seal on Torquay's win with 10 minutes left, turning the ball into the net from the edge of the six-yard area from O'Kane's cross. The best Bradford could offer was a superb 20-yard shot from midfielder David Syers in the 68th minute which Scott Bevan brilliantly turned over the crossbar.
