Match Preview
Key players set for Bantams recall Bradford boss Peter Taylor could revert to a more familiar starting line-up for Friday's visit of Southend. Taylor made five changes to his side for the 2-1 extra-time defeat to Preston on Tuesday and is set to recall the likes of defender Lewis Hunt and midfielder Lee Bullock. Defender Robbie Threlfall will return after missing out against Preston due to a one-match ban for his sending off against Torquay last weekend. Michael Flynn is out for a month after undergoing a groin operation this week and Simon Ramsden is sidelined for three weeks with a calf injury. On-loan Norwich midfielder Tom Adeyemi took a knock to his shin against Preston and will be monitored closely. Southend boss Paul Sturrock has no new injury worries. However, Sturrock will be grateful to have a fully fit squad at his disposal should changes need to be made following Tuesday night's gruelling 2-1 extra-time defeat to Wolves in the Carling Cup. Bilel Mohsni made his first start for the Blues as Richard Stearman broke their hearts with an extra-time injury-time winner, and the centre back is set to retain his place. Peter Gilbert joined Mohsni in the Shrimpers defence on Tuesday night, completing the full 120 minutes on his return from an ankle injury, and he is in line for further involvement against the Bantams. Sturrock will hope his side's spirited midweek display against Premier League opposition will improve their form in League Two, where they have taken a solitary point from three outings this term.

Match Report
Cumbrians snatch point Paul Thirlwell struck a stoppage-time equaliser to salvage a 1-1 draw at Colchester which kept Carlisle top of npower League One. Thirlwell swept home in the third minute of injury time from close range after Gary Madine had fired the ball into a crowded area. Colchester were the better side in the first half and took the lead just before the half-hour mark. Brian Wilson's deep cross was headed in convincingly from close range by on-loan striker David Mooney for his first league goal for the U's. Anthony Wordsworth was denied by goalkeeper Adam Collin before half-time but Carlisle were much improved in the second half and Craig Curran and Francoise Zoko went close for the visitors. U's goalkeeper Mark Cousins pulled off a fine one-handed save to foil the impressive Madine shortly after the hour mark and Zoko hit the bar with an acrobatic effort before Thirlwell struck late on to salvage a point for the Cumbrians.
