Match Preview
Duo set for Bantams return Bradford midfielders David Syers and Lee Bullock could return to the squad for the home game with Crewe. Syers has been restricted to just two appearances this season due to a knee injury, while Bullock had played just one game before sustaining a serious thigh injury. Syers played the full 90 minutes for the Bantams' reserves in midweek and Bullock was withdrawn after 75, leaving manager Phil Parkinson to decide whether to include one of them, or both, on Boxing Day. Defender Robbie Threlfall also played the full 90 minutes for the second string and could return after two months on the sidelines with a thigh injury. Striker Ross Hannah is not expected to shake off the hamstring strain that has forced him to miss the last two matches, but Parkinson has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side look to extend their unbeaten league run to four matches and build on last week's win at Southend. Crewe will be without forward Shaun Miller. Miller picked up a straight red card in the ninth minute of Alex's clash with leaders Crawley and will serve a three-match suspension. Despite Miller's early sending-off, Steve Davis' men were still able to pick up a hugely impressive 1-1 draw against the Red Devils and will be desperate to build upon that. Otherwise, Davis has a full squad at his disposal as Crewe look to add to their four-match unbeaten run in the league. Alex are currently 15th in League Two and will be hoping for a strong finish to the year as they look to push up the table in 2012.

Match Report
Hanson at the double for Bantams Striker James Hanson scored twice as Bradford gained their biggest win of the season with a deserved 3-0 victory over Crewe at Valley Parade. The victory was the Bantams' first in the league since October and ended Crewe's four-match unbeaten run. Bradford went ahead after two minutes in fortunate circumstances. Keeper Jon McLaughlin's long clearance was headed goalwards by Hanson and skipper David Artell's headed clearance rebounded off the head of striker Nahki Wells, the ball looping over the head of Alex stopper Steve Phillips and into the net. Both sides hit the post in an eventful first half, Carl Martin from a free-kick for Crewe and Hanson with deflected shot for Bradford, but the visitors ought to have equalised after 56 minutes when they were awarded a penalty. Ricky Ravenhill brought down Nick Powell in the box, but Lee Bell's spot-kick rebounded off the underside of the bar. Bradford made Crewe pay for this miss after 65 minutes when leading scorer Hanson put them 2-0 in front, hammering a low, right-footed shot into the net after seizing on a partial clearance. And the hitman put the result beyond doubt with City's third goal six minutes from the end. Tall defender Luke Oliver headed substitute Jack Compton's free-kick into path of Hanson, who scored with a right-footed shot from 10 yards.
