Match Preview

Bradford Flynn Moore trouble Bradford quartet Michael Flynn, Luke Moore, Robbie Threlfall and Kyel Reid are all doubtful for the home game with AFC Wimbledon. Flynn is struggling with a slight calf strain and fellow midfielder Reid has a bruised foot, while defenders Moore and Threlfall are nursing respective hand and hip injuries. Manager Phil Parkinson could hand late fitness tests to all four players, with winger Jack Compton and defenders Luke O'Brien and Lewis Hunt on stand-by. Striker Nialle Rodney remains sidelined with an ankle injury, but former Hull forward Craig Fagan is expected to start on the bench again after making his debut in last week's defeat at Crawley. Centre-half Steve Williams has returned to training following his long-term thigh injury but is not ready and Simon Ramsden (hip/groin), Lee Bullock and David Syers (both knee) remain long-term absentees. Ricky Wellard should be fit for AFC Wimbledon. The midfielder was substituted at half-time during last weekend's win over Cheltenham with breathing problems but boss Terry Brown is confident he will be available. Rashid Yussuff, who replaced Wellard, scored one and made another to push his claims for a place in the starting line-up. Brett Johnson could be added to the squad after recovering from a hamstring problem, while fellow defender Fraser Franks played for the reserves this week after six months out with a knee injury. However, Brown is considering loaning Franks out to build up his match fitness. Centre-half Mat Mitchel-King is still waiting to make his debut due to an ankle injury.

Match Report

Dons pile misery on Parkinson A superb long-range shot from Christian Jolley handed AFC Wimbledon a 2-1 victory at Valley Parade and left Bradford manager Phil Parkinson still without a win after five games in charge. There looked to be no danger when the unmarked Jolley received the ball from the right, but City`s players left him in acres of space and he had time to steady himself before clipping a 30-yard shot over the head of keeper Matt Duke and under the crossbar in the 57th minute. Bradford had taken the lead midway through the first half through skipper Michael Flynn's third penalty of the season. Jamie Devitt was upended in the area by Callum McNaughton and Flynn made no mistake from the spot. However, Wimbledon equalised six minutes later when Gareth Gwillim crossed from the left and Jolley headed the ball down for Jack Midson to score his seventh goal of the season with a shot just inside the far post. Only a fine diving save by Seb Brown to keep out James Hanson's header stopped Bradford from regaining the lead in the 52nd minute, but once Wimbledon had gone in front the home side rarely looked like breaching the visitors' strong defence.
