Teenage striker Sam Vokes notched his 11th goal of the season as relegation-threatened Bournemouth eased to a 2-0 victory against injury-hit Yeovil Town at Dean Court.
The 18-year-old marksman glanced in the second of the Cherries goals after former Chelsea reserve captain Danny Hollands had put them in front after nine minutes.
Kevin Bond's side started brightly with Max Gradel's free-kick causing problems for Scott Flinders in the Glovers goal within in the first 60 seconds.
Eight minutes later former West Brom defender Warren Cummings spotted winger Gradel in acres of space on the right. The tricky Ivorian cantered into the area before finding Hollands with a low cross.
Hollands, who hadn't scored since January, finished superbly, sweeping the ball into the bottom corner from ten yards.
Yeovil missed two gilt-edged chances, which should have at least brought them level. Firstly Simon Church, their brawny forward, skied an easy volley over the crossbar and then Scott Guyett wasted a free header.
On-loan David Forde, making his home debut in the Cherries goal, had some nervy moments after suffering a thigh injury that affected his kicking, but Bournemouth survived them and added to their advantage 13 minutes before half-time.Brett Pitman, who was a constant danger throughout, collected the ball from a corner and produced a pin-point centre. Vokes was the target, and the striker delivered beautifully as he glanced the ball in to the net.
It was nothing more than the young south coast side deserved, boosting their hopes of survival. They could have increased their lead after the break but Pitman was twice denied by Flinders, and Vokes blasted over the bar from distance.
Yeovil, who were missing several first-team players through injury, had to wait until the 78th minute for their first shot on target. Marvin Williams picked out Lloyd Owusu, only for the substitute to see his effort beaten away by on-loan Cardiff goalkeeper David Forde.
