Match Preview
Wigan Athletic are still haunted by lingering relegation fears as the season builds towards a tense finale at the JJB Stadium.
On Saturday the Latics host local rivals Bolton Wanderers desperately in need of a victory, as they are just three points clear of the drop zone following a recent upturn in fortunes by those sides immediately below them.
Despite moving away from the foot of the table on the back of a four-match unbeaten start to March, last weekend's 1-0 defeat at lowly Charlton courtesy of a late Darren Bent penalty increased the pressure on manager Paul Jewell.
However, Jewell has been buoyed in recent weeks with the return to fitness of a number of key first-team players.
He now has a full complement of strikers including Henri Camara, Emile Heskey, Lee McCulloch, Julius Aghahowa and Caleb Folan to choose from, while elsewhere Arjen De Zeeuw, Paul Scharner and Luis Antonio Valencia have returned to full fitness.
That leaves only injury-jinxed goalkeeper Chris Kirkland (broken finger) on the sidelines as they prepare to host a team they defeated 1-0 courtesy of McCulloch's late strike at the Reebok Stadium back in November.
Bolton Wanderers kick-started their bid for a UEFA Cup place with last weekend's 1-0 win over Sheffield United.
Three successive Premiership defeats had put paid to the Trotters' hopes of finishing inside the top four and earning a Champions League spot and concerned boss Sam Allardyce also feared their poor form would see them drop out of the European places all together.
But Wanderers are now fifth in the table and seemingly on course for a return to continental action after missing out this season.
On the injury front, Allardyce has a virtual fully-fit squad to choose from with only Joey O'Brien (knee) currently in the Reebok Stadium treatment room.

Match Report
Iranian midfielder Andranik Teimourian hit a killer double - his first goals in the Premiership - to leave Wigan deep in relegation trouble and facing a desperate fight for survival.
Record signing Emile Heskey gave the Latics the lead but it was all square at half-time with Nicolas Anelka hitting the equaliser with his 11th of the season.
Then in a four-minute spell in the second half, Teimourian struck twice to give the Wanderers their first Premiership win over Paul Jewell's side.
Both sides had plenty of motivation for wanting the three points - Bolton chasing a European place for next year and the Latics battling to retain top level status.
Jewell had virtually a full-strength squad available, while Wanderers had both Kevin Nolan and Ivan Campo serving suspensions. Henrik Pedersen was on the bench despite his outburst over Bolton's failure to offer him a new deal.
Wigan were without Dutchmen Arjan de Zeeuw and Denny Landzaat, giving starts to Paul Scharner and Luis Antonio Valencia.
Neither keeper had a save to make in the opening half hour with Wigan enjoying the territorial advantage but failing to hit the target.
Lee McCulloch hit one wide, Josip Skoko had another deflected over the bar and Matt Jackson missed with a close-range header from Ryan Taylor's free-kick.
But Wigan broke the deadlock with an excellent move. Caleb Folan's neat backheel sent Austrian Scharner racing in on goal, his ball into the box appeared to be fumbled by Jussi Jaaselainen and Heskey forced it over the line.
It was his seventh of the season but Wanderers levelled when Jackson's clearance was pumped back in by Gary Speed. John Filan failed to get it away and El-Hadji Diouf supplied the cross and Anelka the finish.
Filan prevented further damage with an excellent save from Diouf.
But Bolton clinched it with that Teimourian double. Diouf set up the first with a great ball - Wigan screaming in vain for offside - and the Iranian got the second with a back-post header from Kevin Davies' cross.
