Hull break away from a Bolton corner and race into the Bolton area. The ball is worked into the feet of Venegoor of Hesselink, he shoots but fires over from twelve yards.

Bernard Mendy lines up a strike on the edge of the box as the ball falls for him but Cahill is out very quickly to throw himself in front of the shot.

Taylor takes a corner for Bolton from the right hand side with pace and dip. Zat Knight arrives to meet the ball and heads goalbound but can only head over the top.

Mendy is out muscled by Davies deep inside his own box and the striker is able to manufacture an effort on goal but Myhill is there to clutch the ball into his chest.

Hull are pressing! Hunt delivers another corner and finds Gardner but his header is blocked. Nick Barmby reacts quickly and hits an overhead kick towards goal but Jaaskelainen saves.

Lee concedes a free-kick in his own half and gives Dawson the opportunity to send the ball into the box. The ball is delivered towards the penalty spot, it falls kindly for Venegoor of Hesselink who controls and takes shot but Jaaskelainen saves.

Sorry Bolton fans I guess that was the curse of the commentator once again. Hull are well and truly back in this game!

Bolton should be able to see this game out. Taylor again strides forward and needs no second invitation to pull the trigger from range. The effort is on target but sails into the grateful arms of Myhill who gathers comfortably.

Matthew Taylor takes a shot on from the edge of the box but Gardner blocks, the ball falls back to Taylor though and he drives a shot through the crowd of players and forces a fine save from Myhill.

Craig Fagan shows great footwork as he turns on the right edge of the box and fires a shot towards the far corner that is turned behind for a corner which comes to nothing.

The Tigers win a corner on the right hand side and Stephen Hunt will deliver. The ball in is a good one and it picks out Zayatte six yards out and un-marked but again he fails to hit the target with the header. What a miss!

A deep ball is pumped into the box and Davies rises at the back post to nod the ball down in trademark fashion. Taylor is arriving to latch on to the loose ball but he can only fire over from sixteen yards.

Hull win a free-kick just on half-way and they take it quickly and work the ball into the feet of Boateng on the edge of the box. He looks to find the corner but Taylor deflects it behind - Hunt's corner comes to nothing.

A Bolton throw-in results in Taylor being fouled by Boateng twenty-five yards from goal on the Bolton left - Taylor can hit them from here - The shot is a powerful one but it flies just over and just wide of Boaz Myhill's goal.

Boateng is judged to have fouled Kevin Davies on the Bolton right and this will give Lee the opportunity to toss the ball into the box. Lee does just that but he cannot find a Bolton head and Mendy is able to clear for the visitors.

How will the second half pan out? Both sides have a lot to play for but will Bolton be tempted to try to protect their slender lead?

Hull break away after Lee concedes possession to Hunt and Altidore wins a free-kick just outside the Bolton area. The free-kick is worked short for Altidore to strike but the effort is a poor one and goes well wide.

Stephen Hunt again provides the threat for the visitors down the flanks but Knight heads his cross clear. Boateng picks up the loose ball and tries his luck from range but it's well blocked in the box.

Bolton's best corner so far. Lee again delivers but this time he can pick out Cahill ten yards out but the header goes wide. Zayatte put good pressure on Cahill there and that is probably what put him off.

Hull are looking to keep up the tempo of this game as they take a free-kick quickly and force a corner on the right hand side. Hunt works the corner short and creates himself space for a shot from the channel but Steinsson makes the block.

Somewhat suprisingly for both of these sides the delivery from set-pieces has been poor and once again Bolton waste a corner as Lee's cross is easily headed away by Boateng.

Altidore and Fagan link up for the first time in the game as the American slips the ball between the defenders and into the run of Fagan but on this slick surface the ball just runs away from Fagan and Jaaskelainen is off his line quickly to gather.

Hunt delivers a corner for Hull from the right, Cohen clears but only back to Hunt. Again the winger looks to deliver but again to the frustration of Phil Brown the offside flag is raised against an Amber shirt in the middle.

Dawson will look to shoot from the free-kick and we have all seen what he can do from this range. The shot comes in, dipping over the wall but Jaaskelainen is across his line to make a smart save.

Hull are behind, and the Reebok is rocking after a spectacular opening goal. Craig Fagan looks to slide in Boateng in the right channel and he is fouled by Robinson to earn the Tigers a free-kick in a dangerous area.

Steinsson comes forward from right-back and overlaps with Davies and looks to cross but Dawson blocks for a corner. Again Bolton look short but this time Lee loses his footing as he takes possession and Hull clear with ease.

Garcia is tripped by Robinson on the right hand side and Hunt will look to deliver once more. The ball is crossed with pace and finds Zayatte unmarked, the centre back sends the header well wide from close range but the offside flag was up anyway.

Klasnic picks the ball up in the Hull half and is able to slip the ball left to Cohen supporting from midfield. Cohen shoots from the edge of the box but he scuffs it well wide of the upright.

Hull win a free-kick and with Bullard out, Hunt is the man who will take command of the dead ball. Hunt whips the ball in low towards Zayatte fifteen yards from goal but his header is all wrong and Bolton are able to break forward.

Zayatte brings down Klasnic just inside the Bolton half and the home side will need no second invitation to send the big men forward. Robinson will deliver it deep from his own half but the Hull defence do well and Gardner heads it clear.

Chung-Yong Lee works a short corner with Taylor and Lee decides to take a shot on from just outside the box but he doesn't get his body over it and strikes well over the top.

Bolton put together a swfit move and Klasnic tries his luck from long range but the strike sails high over the bar. That move has certainly lifted the home fans!
