Match Preview
Petrov worry for Freedman Martin Petrov is an injury doubt for Bolton ahead of Ipswich's visit to the Reebok Stadium. Petrov featured as a second-half substitute in Wanderers' 2-1 triumph over Blackburn but picked up a slight hamstring strain in the closing stages. The former Manchester City winger may have struggled to break into the starting line-up in any case after Chris Eagles, Jacob Butterfield and Lee Chung-Yong all impressed in the attacking midfield roles at Ewood Park, with the latter netting the ultimately decisive second goal. Kevin Davies opened the scoring after replacing David Ngog in attack - the ex-Liverpool youngster dropping to the bench despite netting a last-minute equaliser against Brighton last weekend. Mark Davies is available once more having served a one-match ban for collecting five yellow cards but may struggle to dislodge Keith Andrews and Jay Spearing in central midfield. Long-term knee injury victims Andy Lonergan, David Wheater, Stuart Holden and Josh Vela remain on the sidelines. Luke Hyam faces a battle to be fit for Ipswich as they look to build on their midweek victory. The midfielder came in for his first start under new boss Mick McCarthy on Tuesday night and impressed as Town claimed a 3-1 success against Nottingham Forest, bagging the second goal at Portman Road. However, the youngster was forced off seven minutes from time nursing a knock to his calf, although McCarthy is confident he will be declared fit. Hyam was brought in due to an injury to Nigel Reo-Coker, with the former Trotters midfielder denied a return to the Reebok Stadium because of a troublesome hamstring strain which is expected to keep him out for another couple of weeks. But, otherwise, McCarthy, has the same squad to select from as the one which saw off Forest and moved Town out of the npower Championship's bottom three.
