Puygrenier gives away a free-kick after hauling down Santa-Cruz. Rovers now have a free-kick in a dangerous position in the final moments.

Blackburn are level and will surely fancy that they can snatch a winner in the dying moments.

Emerton takes the corner and Bolton don't clear it well. Andrews twists and turns in the box and lays it to Samba but his shot is blocked.

Blackburn living dangerously as they chase down the equaliser leaving Nelsen and Samba exposed at the back. Warnock finds space on the left and crosses but it almost finds the net and Jaaskelainen is forced to concede the corner.

In no rush to take the corner are Bolton - When they do, it is whipped in towards Cahill but the central defender heads the ball well over the crossbar.

Bolton have forced a corner which Taylor will whip in - Robinson comes to meet it but rather flaps at it but fortunately for the keeper it only goes behind for another corner.

Warnock plays the ball in from the left, Santa Cruz keeps it alive and after a bit of a scramble the ball broke for Emerton but his shot took a deflection nicely into the arms of Jaaskelainen.

McCarthy picks the ball up on the edge of the box and plays it back to Grella who lifts the ball in to Santa Cruz but the ball is taken off his head by an excellent piece of defending from Cahill.

The game poised for a fantastic finish with Rovers throwing everything at Bolton who will be desperate to hold on and put some distance between them and the drop zone.

McCarthy steps up to take the penalty but Jaaskelainen is down quickly and makes the save. Andrews and McCarthy try to reach the rebound but Jaaskelainen is up quickly to make the second stop. Superb keeping!

Santa Cruz is played in behind the Bolton back four. He controls it well and takes it past Jaaskelainen who brings down the striker and Mike Dean points to the spot.

All of a sudden Blackburn are piling on the pressure - Two corners in succession and all the big men are up for Rovers - Emerton delivers to the near post but it goes behind off Andrews for a goal kick.

Bolton are content to sit back and abosrb the pressure in this second period in an attempt to protect their two goal lead. Andrews tries his luck from long range but Nolan is there to block the shot.

Warnock gets forward down the left hand side and plays the ball infield to Tugay who chips it into the path of Emerton coming forward from right back but the Australian's header is badly misdirected and Bolton retake possession.

Grella plays the ball towards the box but Puygrenier blocks the pass. It falls to the feet of Roberts who tries a snapshot from the edge of the box but it's not beating Jaaskelainen who gathers comfortably.

Ooijer feeds the ball into McCarthy, who touches the ball wide to Emerton. Emerton crosses deep and Pedersen turns it back into Roberts but his touch is too heavy and the ball runs away from the goal and Bolton deal with the danger.

Neat passing from Rovers and they are able to force a corner down the right hand side - Pedersen delivers but its a poor one and Nolan is able to clear easily at the near post. An awful corner from Pedersen!

Blackburn have a corner after Emerton's cross is headed behind by Steinsson with Pedersen lurking behind him - Emerton whips the ball in but Jaaskelainen comes off his line to punch it away.

Grella plays the ball in from the right hand side and the deep cross is turned back towards the edge of the box where Andrews meets it and shoots low but just wide of the post. Blackburn's best effort of the half.

Bolton have an opportunity to test Robinson with a dangerous free-kick - Taylor takes a few strides forward and fires the dead ball goalbound but Pedersen makes the block and Rovers look to break.

Dangerous position for Pedersen to try and take advantage of - Pedersen shoots from the right channel but he scuffs the ball into the ball and Bolton clear the danger.

The ball is played into Roberts on the edge of the Bolton box and the striker turns quickly away from Puygrenier who brings down the forward on the edge of the box. No booking for the defender to the displeasure of the home fans.

Blackburn are unable to test the Bolton back-four. Another deep ball from Samba is comfortably headed clear by Cahill for a Blackburn throw-in. Nothing happening for the home side at the minute and Bolton look very comfortable.

Frustration growing among the home side as Andrews fires a 60 yard ball up the park but it is well off target and Bolton pick up possession - Rovers skipper Nelsen gestures his team-mates to compose themselves.

Pedersen plays in a deep cross towards McCarthy who does well to keep the ball in but his cross was blocked and as Andrews turned it back in towards McCarthy the assinstant referee's flag was raised for offside.

Another deep set piece and the ball broke to Makukula who tried an acrobatic overhead kick that was blocked by Samba but only for a corner - The ball in is easily cleared and Bolton waste the chance.

Pedersen finds space on the left hand side after a knock down from Roberts. Pedersen shifts the ball onto his left foot and whips in a low ball towards Andrews running from deep but his control lets him down and the ball runs away from him.

Blackburn are struggling to keep possession so far - Grella tries to slide the ball down the channel to Emerton but it is intercepted. The ball breaks to Grella again but his ball over the top runs out of play.

The replays seem to suggest that Makukula was almost exactly in line with the last defender and it's good to see the assistant giving the attacker the benefit of the doubt.

A silly free-kick conceded by Grella and Taylor has an opportunity to deliver into the danger zone - The ball sails through to the back post, Nolan controls and shoots but Warnock is there to make a crucial block.

A very scrappy start - Chris Basham in particular giving the ball away in midfield frequently and the long balls into the box from both sides have been easily dealt with by the powerful defenders.

Both sides conceding possession cheaply in the early exchanges - Samuel has a chance to send in a long throw but Makukula's flick on was comfortably cleared by Samba.

Interesting battle shaping up with Makukula up against the giant Samba. Any aerial ball will be well contested today that's for sure.

Early strike from Jason Roberts after he chased a long high ball and won it from Puygrenier and struck on the turn but it flew into the arms of Jaaskelainen. Roberts showing the confidence he has in his own game at the moment.
