Match Report

Dexter Blackstock netted a late equaliser to deny Blackpool another away win.

Captain Martin Rowlands blasted the Rangers fans after they booed Iain Dowie's men during the home defeat to Derby last Saturday.

And Rowlands incurred the wrath of the Rangers faithful on 14 minutes after he squandered a gilt-edged opportunity from ten yards.

Minutes later, Simon Grayson's Blackpool were ahead. Damion Stewart's poor clearance was seized upon by Gary Taylor-Fletcher, whose stunning 25-yard lob looped over Radek Cerny.

Midway through the first half, the home fans were screaming for a penalty when Shaun Barker tackled Daniel Parejo in the box, but ref Grant Hegley wasn't impressed.

Blackpool had amassed more points on the road than at Bloomfield Road this season and the Seasiders bossed the first half.

Steve Kabba almost added another on 32 minutes but he couldn't find the net from a tight angle after nicking the ball past Cerny.

Blackstock should have equalised eight minutes before the break but his low header drifted past the post in a rare attack from Rangers.

Blackstock's horror first half continued as he opted to chest Emmanuel Jorge Ledesma's cross instead of shooting with the goal at his mercy.

The boo-boys were out in force yet again at Loftus Road as the crowd jeered Dowie's boys at half-time.

Whatever Dowie put in the half-time tea seemed to work, as Rangers began brightly in the second period.

Lee Cook's low drive was tipped behind by Paul Rachubka before Blackstock's header was ruled out for pushing.

Just as the R's had given up hope, Blackstock finally netted.

Akos Buzsaky's free-kick cracked the crossbar and the young forward nodded home 11 minutes from time.
