Elliott beats Chimbonda in the right corner, but he over-runs the ball in doing so and Nelsen clears for Blackburn.

Long throw into the box by Pederson is flicked on by Di Santo, almost as far as Diouf, but Burnley just clear. They've really struggled with the threat of these long throws this afternoon.

Robinson plays another long free-kick forward into the area. Jensen is unconvincing coming for the ball again, but the danger ends when N'Zonzi heads weakly goalwards allowing Jensen to claim.

Long free-kick by Robinson from the half-way line and he so nearly scores. Samba stands his ground and Jensen under pressure misses his punch and it bounces over the bar, but the referee penalises the Blackburn man again.

Another long throw-in from Pederson, 35 yards out on the left. he aims towards the physical presence of Samba but he's adjudged to have committed a foul and the referee awards Burnley a free-kick.

Eagles drives into the Blackburn cross. Blackburn defenders fly in and the ball squirms away to Elliott on the right, who crosses to the far post but it's wasted and out for a goal-kick.

Long throw from Pederson goes right across the face of the Burnley goal. It reaches Diouf at the far post who tries to find space for a cross or shot but can't and Burnley shepherd him away from goal.

Corner comes in towards Caldwell. His header is cleared away only as far as Elliott who blasts over under pressure, with Eagles almost getting in his way.

Eagles breaks with his first touch and plays it left to Blake with Blackburn stretched. It's a poor cross though from the Burnley man and only a ricochet off a couple of defenders get his side a corner.

Good break again by Blackburn. Dunn controls it well with his chest 35 yards out. He plays it to Andrews who tries to feed Pederson, but his cross is deflected away for another corner.

Fletcher goes down injured after being caught by N'Zonzi and requires treatment. Robinson kicks the ball sportingly out of play.

Corner comes in and Pederson launches himself at the ball but only collides with Carlisle as Jensen claims comfortably.

Half chance for Fletcher at the other end. Nugent lays the ball into his path on the edge of the area. He checks onto his left foot before shooting under pressure from three Blackburn defenders, but he drags it wide of Robinson's left-hand post.

Good play from Blackburn on the edge of the Burnley area. They release Pederson on the left, who cuts inside of Bikey before the tackle comes in to take the ball behind. It looks like a corner but the referee gives a goal-kick.

Scrappy start to this second half with neither side keeping possession of the ball.

Free-kick to Blackburn for a foul on N'Zonzi 35 yards out on the left. Pederson takes, but it's poor and hits the first defender.

Decent effort from Fletcher for Burnley but his 25-yard effort is well held by Robinson.

Burnley play the ball forward trying to release Nugent, but it's over-hit and Robinson is out well to clear at the edge of the area.

Free-kick on Diouf by Bikey and it's a free-kick to Blackburn in an almost identical position to the one they scored their second goal from. Dunn takes again to Samba at the far post. He heads back across goal but this time Jensen collects.

Pederson plays the ball behind the Burnley defence for the on-rushing Dunn, but he's offside and it's a free-kick to Burnley.

Spell of possession for Burnley, but they lose it entering the attacking third and Blackburn clear. The visitors have struggled to get to grips with this game since the Blackburn equaliser.

Good possession from Blackburn going from right to left and back again. They work the ball to Dunn on the edge of the area, who shoots left footed but sraight at Jensen.

Chimbonda pays it long towards Di Santo on the edge of the Burnley area. He heads down towards Dunn who tries to curl one, but his shot is tame and easily gathered by Jensen.

Blackburn starting to get on top now they've got the lead. Diouf does well down the right and earns another throw-in for the hosts 6 from the corner.

Diouf gets caught in possession going back into his own area. Blackburn manage to clear but only as far as Blake, who feeds Jordan . He crosses first-time from the left but it's headed clear again.

Good turn by Jacobsen and he earns Blackburn a free-kick at the expense of Blake 40 yards out on the right touchline.

Good pressing by Blackburn and they force a throw-in 30 yards out which Pederson launches into the box. Samba flicks on as Nelsen comes out and leaves himself stranded, but the Burnley defence clear.

Good chance for Blackburn to take the lead. The ball is crossed into Dunn and then N'Zonzi, before finding Diouf in space on the right just inside the area. He shoots early but drags it wide of the far post.

Samba appears to have suffered a cut on his head and the referee has asked him to leave the field to get himself patched up and to change his shirt.

Good run again by Blake. He gets to the edge of the area, but Nelsen comes in with a fine tackle just as he goes to shoot.

Foul on Diouf by Jordan on the half-way line as Blackburn threaten to launch an attack. Free-kick to Blackburn, which Robinson takes long into the area. Samba brings it down and shoots on the turn from 7 yards but it's well over.

It's been a scrappy opening minute or so, with players being pressed early and no side able to keep possession of the ball.
