Rangers pair miss showdown Berwick will be without midfielder Stuart Callaghan and player-coach Ian Little through injury for the top-of-the-table clash with Stranraer. Jimmy Crease's side, looking to extend their lead over second placed Stranraer, could recall winger Fraser McLaren, but former Clyde and Dundee defender Eddie Malone, who played as a trialist last weekend, is not included after stalling on a deal. Crease said: "If Arbroath had won last week they would have jumped above us and it's the same again in this game. "If we deal with Stranraer in the same way that we dealt with Arbroath I will be delighted. Hopefully our strikers can keep banging in goals." Unbeaten Stranraer will be without defender Romauld Bouadji and midfielder Steven Noble through injury. Kevin Nicoll is suspended and manager Keith Knox has been forced to recall Paul McInnes from his loan spell in the junior ranks. Knox said: "We don't have a good record down at Berwick and last season we played them twice in midweek and looked jaded in both games. "I'm hoping we arrive fresher and can put on a better performance this time out." Knox added, "We're playing well and have the chance to go top, which would be a fantastic achievement."

Brazil snatches point Alan Brazil's late equaliser maintained Berwick's unbeaten start to the season as they drew 2-2 with Stranraer at Shielfield Park. The home side took the lead through Darren Gribben's low shot from just inside the penalty area after 28 minutes. But they were reduced to 10 men when Steven Notman was dismissed for an angry tirade following the award of a penalty which Scott Agnew gratefully netted to draw Stranraer level. And they took the lead after 65 minutes when Sean Winter slotted into the bottom corner from 12 yards. However, there was a late twist as Brazil crashed home the equaliser in the 88th minute, allowing Berwick to keep their place at the top of the table.
