Borderers still in promotion hunt Berwick entertain Montrose looking to keep their faint hopes of promotion alive. However Elliot Smith, Chris McLeod, Fraser McLaren and Craig O'Reilly are all out with injury. Midfielder Lee Currie is expected to play despite suffering a broken nose in last Saturday's game with Stranraer. Crease said: "We have to go out now and try to win every game and see if other results go in our favour. It is not the ideal situation but we will just have to get on with it. "We were disappointing against Stranraer last weekend but we have the chance to get a bit of momentum behind us over the last few games starting against Montrose and see where that takes us." Ray Farningham will be out to celebrate his confirmation as Montrose manager. He will be without banned full back Stephen McNally and injured striker Martin Boyle. Gordon Pope returns after injury with Hugh Davidson available after work commitments kept him out of the 1-1 draw with Clyde during the week. Farningham said: "The boys showed good character to come back at Clyde and they scored a really good equaliser in that game. "That is us two games undefeated now and we will take confidence from that and go looking for a win at Berwick. "We want to finish this season on a high with as many points as possible to start getting us in step for next season."

Match Report

Masson downs Berwick Terry Masson's solitary strike was enough to earn Montrose all three points against a spirited Berwick side at Shielfield Park. The home side created the game's first chance after just three minutes when Kevin Gordon's strike was well saved by the feet of Ramiro Gonzalez. The away side were fortunate again in the 12th minute as Gordon lost his marker, only to see his header hit the post. Montrose did create some chances and improved significantly in the second half with opportunities falling to Connor Thompson, Sean Crighton and Aaron Sinclair. And they found the back of the net in the 80th minute when Masson curled in a right-footed shot from outside the area. The home side tried in vain to equalise in the dying stages, but they did not have enough firepower to beat Gonzalez.
