Match Preview

Barnsley look for triple boost Barnsley could be boosted by the return to contention of Kelvin Etuhu, Rory Delap and Rob Edwards for their home game with Hull. Etuhu, operating in midfield under manager David Flitcroft, has missed the last four games due to a hamstring injury, while defender Delap has been sidelined since mid-March with a calf problem. Edwards, struggling with a hamstring injury, was an unused substitute at Nottingham Forest last week. Fellow defenders Bobby Hassell (hamstring) and Jim McNulty (ankle) remain sidelined and midfielder Stephen Dawson sits out the last game of his three-match ban. Striker Chris Dagnall and midfielder Tomasz Cywka are both pushing for recalls, while defender Andrai Jones is hoping to retain his place after making his first start for the club at Forest. The Tykes, second from bottom, could climb out of the bottom three with victory, but defeat could see them relegated if other results go against them. Hull will be without injured striker Gedo for their final away fixture. The Egypt international is struggling with an ongoing foot problem and will play no part at Oakwell, while midfielder Robert Koren remains a major doubt after missing last week's goalless draw with Bristol City due to a calf strain. Defender Jack Hobbs is hoping to shake off a knock to the knee in time. But the Tigers will be boosted by the return from suspension of midfielder Corry Evans, who is expected to return to the starting line-up following his two-game ban. Jay Simpson and Nick Proschwitz will challenge for a place up front alongside Matty Fryatt, who made his first league start of the season last week following a long-term Achilles injury. Defender Paul McShane is hoping to feature following his quicker-than-expected return from ankle ligament damage.
