Wycombe's four-game winning streak came to an end after a goalless draw at home to Barnet.
Wycombe's top scorer, Scott McGleish, had the first chance of the game on 16 minutes but, after meeting Craig Woodman's corner, he headed wide.
The Chairboys began to take control after an initial scrappy opening 25 minutes but did not look to have the cutting edge of recent weeks.Matt Bloomfield tried to change that and, after out-muscling Barnet skipper Ismail Yakubu, looked for Sergio Torres but the attack was ended when Rob Beckwith intervened.
In their search for the opener, Barnet tried to use the pace of Cliff Akurang and Ashley Carew, but Leon Johnson and David McCracken were up to the challenge at the heart of the Bees defence.
But it was a more unlikely source that nearly gave the visitors the lead on the stroke of half-time. Neal Bishop let fly from 25 yards but his effort went narrowly wide of Rab Douglas' goal.
Wycombe continued to dominate possession in the early stages of the second half, but it was Barnet that looked the more likely to score.
However, just before the hour mark the home side were unlucky not to be ahead. Gary Holt's cross deceived everyone and came back off the bar only for Torres to then have the rebound blocked on the line.
The woodwork denied Wycombe again on 74 minutes when Bloomfield's shot hit the base of the post.
Moments later Wycombe had the ball in the net but the assistant referee adjudged McGleish to be offside when he poked the ball home after a Beckwith spill.
Despite being under pressure throughout the half, Barnet should have snatched all three points on the stroke of full-time but Jason Puncheon ran out of steam after being put through on goal.
