Loan defender Downing absent for Bees Barnet will be without on-loan defender Paul Downing for their clash against promotion-chasing Torquay. The West Brom youngster needed an X-ray after falling badly on his neck last Friday during the Bees' 0-0 draw with fellow strugglers Macclesfield. While the injury is not as serious as first feared, Downing has returned to his parent club for further tests, but the Bees are hopeful to have the 20-year-old back at the club for Tuesday's game with Swindon. Darren Dennehy returns to the squad after he missed the Macclesfield game with a foot injury and is expected to start at centre-back. Danny Senda and Steve Kabba remain long-term absentees through knee injuries. Winger Mark Marshall remains suspended after testing positive for a banned substance in January. Torquay manager Martin Ling has a fully-fit and suspension-free squad at his disposal once again. Ling has named the same starting line-up and substitutes' bench for each of the Gulls' last five outings and he is expected to do the same once more for the trip to Underhill. Ryan Jarvis came off the bench to net the winner in the victory over Port Vale last weekend and will be pushing for a start, but Ling is unlikely to alter his first XI. Torquay could close the gap on league leaders Swindon to a single point with a win, with the table-toppers not in action until Saturday, and success at Barnet would equal the club's all-time record for away wins in a single season - which currently stands at 11.
