Match Preview
Bees face goalkeeping worry Barnet boss Giuliano Grazioli faces a goalkeeper dilemma ahead of their final day relegation decider against Port Vale. Regular first-choice goalkeeper Jake Cole has failed to recover from a knee injury in time so Sam Walker or Liam O'Brien will get the nod. Chelsea loanee Walker has made a couple of mistakes in recent matches so former Portsmouth keeper O'Brien could be recalled for the crucial match. Midfielder Mark Byrne has been struggling with a muscle strain but is due to train before the weekend and should be available. Matt Parsons (Achilles) is a doubt and fellow defender Anwar Uddin (ankle) is still out along with striker Steve Kabba (knee). The Bees need to beat Vale and hope Lincoln fail to win against Aldershot in order to stay up. Port Vale caretaker manager Mark Grew could well name the same starting XI as the one who demolished Morecambe 7-2 last weekend. Grew will find it difficult to make changes on the back of such a comprehensive display by his Vale side, whose hopes of a play-off place remain mathematically possible but are minimal at best due to their vastly inferior goal difference. The Vale boss must also take into consideration the battle to avoid relegation. Forward Sean Rigg (knee ligament damage) and midfielder Doug Loft (ankle) remain ruled out. The likes of Kris Taylor, John McCombe, Gary Roberts and Lewis Haldane remains options should Grew wish to make any changes, while he could also hand further game time to rookies Ryan Lloyd and Joe Davis after they played the final 20 minutes in the romp over Morecambe.

Match Report
Bees celebrate dramatic survival Barnet striker Izale McLeod smashed home a second-half penalty to defeat Port Vale 1-0 and save the club from relegation from the Football League on the final day of the season. Caretaker boss Guiliano Grazioli needed the Bees to triumph at Underhill and Lincoln not to win if he was to keep the club in League Two after taking over from Martin Allen last month. And after McLeod stepped up to fire Barnet ahead they never looked in danger, with the Imps' 3-0 home defeat to Aldershot ensuring they instead suffered their first relegation from the Football League since 1987. Mark Marshall caused the Vale backline problems early on and was unlucky not to score after 19 minutes when his stinging 20-yard effort from the left was brilliantly parried by Chris Martin. And the former Swindon winger came close again when he dispossessed Ritchie Sutton with a superb sliding tackle but his curling shot shaved the outside of a post. It took until the third minute of the second half for the home side to reap their reward when McLeod smashed home a penalty after he was brought down by Gareth Owen. Sam Walker was called into action in the final moments to keep the Bees ahead when he saved at the feet of Marc Richards.
